In this video, Tristan De'Geon, father of a 5-year-old kindergartener at R.L. Norton Elementary School, can be seen irate because, according to him, the child was left at school for the third time by her assigned bus. After this incident, DeGeon says he was informed he can no longer be on the school’s campus without a police chaperone.
I have had to deal with similar in place of my sister when picking up my nieces and nephew. It's fucking infuriating, and considering when I grew up, we were marched in military fashion to our school buses, I don't understand how in the hell it happens.

Honestly take your kids and get them the fuck out of that school
I got put on the wrong bus when I was in elementary school. It doesn't feel good when you are the last one on the bus in a completely foreign area.
Ridiculous. I would've understood if it happened once. Like he said, it happens. But it really seems they just don't care at all.
I gotta say, the righteous fury of a parent is something to behold.
Hey, Georgia back at it again with horrid education practices. School here is an absolute joke, they care much more about your attendance than actual grades. Prime example was a girl who was so smart that she left highschool to do core classes in college in her senior year, and the school wanted to pull her HS scholarship because she wasn't actually there (but still maintaining straight As with grades). All they give a shit about is football and getting money via attendance.
Prime example was my senior year in HS. I had a US history book so old it said that bush was currently in his second term in 2011. The book it's self was falling apart due to the glue in it rotting, and i had to literally ducktape the book back together to prevent it from falling apart. Meanwhile the athletics team gets a brand new jumbotron for the football field and brand new audio equipment for said field.
The school already backpedaled so fucking hard it made their chain snap - they claim that it was just a "possibility of what could happen" and "not something the principal wants to pursue". Fucking lol
Going to school in the south is just Daycare for Adolescents. As long as you show up, you get a diploma.
Literally "We did this and are at fault but its not our responsibility and we don't care about it"
That's the way it is in Oklahoma, didn't know it was a trend for the south too.
There's a reason the south has a reputation for (and actually is) full of dumb, ignorant rednecks.
The school bus was very late once and my mom didn't want to take me to school herself so we waited. It finally got there and made the usual rounds to pick everyone up who, of course, had already made their own way to school. The driver ended up driving around for literal hours because he didn't know where the fuck the school was. Half the schoolday had passed by the time I got there.
When I was going to middle school, the bus stop I used was used for both the middle and the high school. The busses usually arrived with 10 minutes of one another - middle-school first, then high-school. On a good day, there was maybe 3 other kids at that stop waiting with me. It wasn't uncommon for me to be waiting alone.
One day, the middle-school bus was running late (also not uncommon). So late, in fact, that the high-school bus arrived first.
It wasn't terribly populated, and I didn't notice at first. It only took a few hot moments for me to realize my mistake, though, once the bus started rolling.
Luckily the bus driver was understanding of my anxiety (I was a horrifically shy and anxious child; I'm honestly proud of past-me for not crying) when he finally stopped at the high-school and I revealed that I wasn't meant to be there.
I can't remember how I ended up actually getting to the middle-school. But I know that I did and everyone involved was very supportive.
So yeah, I'd go a step farther and say that, for a kid at least, it can be downright terrifying. It was for me, anyways.

Assholes. Maybe don't be constantly incompetent and he won't get rightfully mad.
Not surprising. I live in an area in South Carolina close to the Georgia border, and when I was younger and still in HS, you'd hear complaints of poor behavior and oversight when it came to busing and other systems constantly in regards to school officials.
All they care about is not being held accountable for things and looking good for the state and federal education departments so they can pull more funding for administrative bullshit and football, not actually paying teachers better or improving their school systems- and it shows.
The school is liable for the well being of the child. The parents could get an absolute fuckton of money with this video alone.
Being a concerned parent while black.
