That's not much for a Toyota.
I mean, it is a Toyota. It'll go a bit more, like a million more.
Is that Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus?
I've always wondered, which component to a vehicle is the mileage tied to? Could you replace every other part and have a functionally new vehicle with mileage of an old one? Could you buy this mans milage from him and insert those components into your tacoma? Do people who fix cars have the ability to reset miles? Can I reverse Ferris Bueller my car to artificially have a large mileage for bragging rights?
Damn I come up with a lot stupid questions.
The dashboard has the odometer. You can't reverse the car. Modern cars can have their odometers flashed, or in some cases replacing/installing a new dashboard gets you a 0-mile odometer. In some cases, older cars have dashboards with 5-digit odometers (12,345 miles). When you get to 100,000 miles on one of those cars, the odometer will roll back over to zero.
So in theory you can take the dashboard out of a 300,000 mile car and put it in a brand new car of the same model and have it say 300,000 miles on your brand new car.
