so the Venezuelans whose job it is to play RuneScape because the RuneScape gold coin is worth more than their actual currency wow
Aye. More often then not when I go pking I run into them and they often beg me not to kill them in Spanish. It's really no joke people over there play the game to make a living irl. I don't think its even half of minimal wage but it's still better then nothing. A lot of spots in the wilderness such as the revenent caves (which is extremely high gp/hour but high risk) is like a ghost town now besides the occasional big clan. Kinda crazy
I guess my question for you is: Are you a monster or not?
look bonds are 3.3m each I need membership more then they need food
God damn Imagine killing someone in a video game and accidentally indirectly taking food from his table. Genuinely scary thought
I don't exactly feel super sympathetic for Chinese gold farmers, either. Their livelihood is, in some small but collectively massive way, affecting my ability to enjoy the game and participate in its virtual economy. It's very much unethical to mess with them (which is why I don't go PKing), but it's hard to not WANT to.
your in-game avatar can decide the livelihood of someone in an impoverished country is this late stage capitalism?
That's such a unempathetic and privledged viewpoint. I know it's hard to have empathy over the internet, so I can forgive you some, but still man, your enjoyment is not worth more than someones life and feeling that is kinda shitty.
As someone who plays rs, if I had to do it as a job I'd blow my brains out.
