Virginia student sent home for wearing hat with Confederate insignia
CROZET, Va. (AP) — A Virginia high school student has been sent home for wearing a hat bearing a Confederate insignia.
News outlets report that the Albemarle County Public Schools spokesman Phil Giaramita said it happened Tuesday, the first day of the school system’s new dress code banning hate symbols.
The Western Albemarle High School student was asked to remove the hat and refused.
The student’s father supported his son’s decision and signed him out of school.
Giaramita said it was the only incident related to the dress code change on Tuesday.
Superintendent Matt Haas has cited the deadly Unite the Right rally, the region’s history of slavery, and resistance to integration and examples of racism in local schools as reasons for the ban.

That top star specifically represents the Confederacy.
Long way to go removing hate symbols.
Slavers and traitors should never be glorified. General Sherman didn't go far enough.
This is why the pyramids should be knocked down. Finally, someone agrees with me.
Ancient standing gravesites with thousands of years of historical value that have nothing to do with the current human race let alone current local society =/= flag of literal a literal traitorous faction used by twat racists to scream about how much they want to oppress people.
Of course, let us idolize these traitors, the secessionists who held literal slaves, who seceded over the issue of slavery and caused a war that killed hundreds of thousands of Americans. Let's idolize those who fought for a country, where the vice president said this:
The new constitution has put at rest, forever, all the agitating questions relating to our peculiar institution — African slavery as it exists amongst us — the proper status of the negro in our form of civilization" and further that "Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea ["equality of the races"]; its foundations are laid, its cornerstone rests upon the great truth, that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery — subordination to the superior race — is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth.
Where the state of Texas had this in their reasoning for seceding:
Texas abandoned her separate national existence and consented to become one of the Confederated Union to promote her welfare, insure domestic tranquility and secure more substantially the blessings of peace and liberty to her people. She was received into the confederacy with her own constitution, under the guarantee of the federal constitution and the compact of annexation, that she should enjoy these blessings. She was received as a commonwealth holding, maintaining and protecting the institution known as negro slavery-- the servitude of the African to the white race within her limits-- a relation that had existed from the first settlement of her wilderness by the white race, and which her people intended should exist in all future time. Her institutions and geographical position established the strongest ties between her and other slave-holding States of the confederacy. Those ties have been strengthened by association. But what has been the course of the government of the United States, and of the people and authorities of the non-slave-holding States, since our connection with them?
Of course, let's build statues to the traitors, who needlessly glorify racists who fought for treason. Let's build statues to these men:

And let's build a statue to those who participated in the Underground Railroad, like Levi Coffin, who saved 2,000 slaves from a live of povery and servitude.

Robert E. Lee, Longstreet and all the Confederate generals willingly fought for a state that existed to preserve the existence of one of the most disgusting institutions of all time. NONE of these statues, the majority may I add being erected well after 1913 exist to preserve history or to act as teachable monuments. They seek to preserve revisionism, to downplay crimes against humanity and monuments to a warped, perverted state that started a war that killed thousands.
The audacity of you to compare the Pyramids, ancient burial sites which can actually teach us something to a statue dedicated to glorifying a revisionist view of history that is false, that seeks to preserve the legacy of traitors is astounding.
The pyramids weren't built by slaves.
The irony is Lee would have fucking hated to see a statue of himself like this
Lincoln made a mistake by pardoning Confederate leaders rather trying and sentencing them.
The aliens have nothing to do with this
