weapon models kicking up and back a lot in ttt, and also crosshairs

I figured out how to adjust ironsights of the weapons just around so much in the shooting animation that the sight is useless. It's not even remotely realistic either. Is there a way to fix that through the config or is that the model animation? Also, I tried to turn crosshairs off for weapons but I can't get that to work. Making SWEP.DrawCrosshair to false doesn't do anything.
