April Fools outside of its cultural precence isn’t considered that special of a day, so a political party passing laws on that day isn't really out of the ordinary.

Why? You dont even have to buy a vpn. they blocked piratebay years ago, yet hundreds of proxies exist and sites exist for it that will redirect you. if they block pornhub or something (lets be honest here, they will pretty much only block big and well known porn sites) literally typing “pornhub proxy” into google will work. I am however kinda scared as to what other sites will be blocked. For example, already when trying to access porn free and work safe sites like gtaforums using my mobile data (O2) will not let me access it because its deemed unsafe unless i verify myself.

Brexit has been an amazing distraction for the Tories. This is one of the many absolutely shitty bits of legislation they've snuck through whilst every other party is trying it's damdest to just keep the country running at all.
