Massachusetts man dies after somehow being struck by his own vehicle

A man died after being struck by his own vehicle at the ramp to I-93 northbound in Canton, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Mass. State Police tweeted about the crash Sunday afternoon, saying the ramp was closed "due to crash with injuries," and told drivers to expect delays. The department later said that
the person suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, and that he was "somehow struck by his own vehicle," before confirming that the 72-year-old man had died as a result of the
crash.

The department confirmed all lanes had reopened after the scene cleared out.

I've heard of people falling over while exiting a rolling vehicle and being run over by it, but he was actually struck by it rather than just falling under the wheels. Weird, I wonder what caused it.

I believe that was a failure with the vehicle it self, wonder if a similar thing happened here.
