Lenovo M600 Wired Keyboard no longer recognized by Windows
4 replies, posted
Hi guys,
Recently I have had serious issues getting my keyboard to be recognized by Windows. I have tried reinstalling drivers and disabling features like fast startup and usb suspending, and at this point I am plum out of ideas on how to get this keyboard to work again.
I do not have another computer near me to test if this is just my machine, but I plugged the keyboard into a powerbank and it lit up; implying that the keyboard could still recieve power.
Essentially my question is, from the information provided here, does it seem like the usb keyboard is busted or is this an OS issue? and if it is an OS issue, is there a good way to fix it?

Please let me know if more information is needed, and I thank you all in advance for any advice you can provide.
It's almost certainly busted, keyboard drivers are pretty idiot-proof and fault-proof. It's extraordinarily unlikely that Windows has screwed up something with the software.
Thanks for breaking that to me, and sorry you that didn't get your well deserved coins sooner. I was secretly hoping that there would be a fix that I missed, as the poor thing was only 3 years old. But what you're saying here makes sense, I only wish I could have been more proactive in stopping whatever broke it.
Thank you again, AtomicSans. ♥
If course.
If you're interested in spending some extra money on a much more durable and better-feeling keyboard, FP has a dedicated mechanical keyboard thread.
Same thing happened to my Corsair Raptor M30 about 4 years ago almost. Ended up returning it about 10 months after purchasing it and got a full refund luckily, which most stores if I remember correctly.
