Hi. You sold us products on platforms that you list as no longer wanting to support. Would you please offer us a refund for platforms you sold for but no longer want to support, considering that you consistently break the game for those?
Unless you bought the game through the Dutch auctions before the game went on Steam in December 2013, Facepunch Studios did not sell you the game, Steam or some other online retailer did. You need to go to wherever you bought the game to inquire about any potential refunds and Facepunch can't help you circumvent obstacles like "no refunds past 14 days/2 hours". If you want to claim that a lack of Linux support, or whatever your problem is, is justification for a refund after how many hundreds or thousands of hours you've gotten out of your $20-40, you need to take that up with the retailer you paid money to and you can cite this sticky thread by a Facepunch moderator as your supporting evidence. I am not a Facepunch Studios employee or a forum moderator, but I'm saving them the time because they'd tell you to go to the retailer as well.
While Steam is the platform >90% of Rust users purchased the platform through, Facepunch is absolutely the entity responsible for sales and evolution of the product. I'm only trying to exhaust my remedies before I seek arbitration (from Steam, I'm pretty sure I paid them for early access) for being sold a product that was pulled out from under me. Maybe at the end of the day that really is between me and Valve, but considering that Facepunch owns the product (Rust), I'm pretty sure I have to ask them to exhaust my pre-arbitration remedies. Doesn't matter if the apologist/conventional wisdom says no, but I have to have asked them literally the above to cover my bases. Facepunch, I think that you've sold me a lemon. Will you refund me, or no?
"Maybe at the end of the day that really is between me and Valve" It is
Just gonna unban the OP an refer the OP to How To Request A Refund which will show you how to do a refund on Steam. Ban was a tad harsh but I'm still closing this thread and will remind the OP that the sticky has been there for a while about Linux support and how it was being discontinued.
