The EU has to look out for her people too. The UK asks for them to cut off their hand when all that's reasonable to ask for is a handshake. Don't be surprised when the EU doesn't just cut off their hand for you.
“There will be no re-negotiations, no new negotiations, no additional guarantees in addition to those already given,”
If that is the case then May cannot alter her deal which means it cannot (as per the Speaker of the House's ruling earlier this week) be brought forwards for another vote next week.
So May now needs to convince the EU that we need the extra time to do something that would justify the extra time the EU would grant, baring in mind that it seems like most of those who will be voting would rather a long delay (A year or more) or no extension at all.
So basically, we are fucked.
Please throw Nigel Farage into the Tower of London.

i really think the only chance of getting this extension is either suspending parliament or calling a second referendum. and may has said she won't do that, which probably means she will lol
I still have no idea what sort of "deal" the Brexiters are even looking for. They basically want to get halfway out of every EU treaty. They don't want to have to follow EU trade rules, but they still want free trade with EU nations. They want free movement of British into Europe, but not vice versa - except maybe on the Irish border, but they also don't want an internal border between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. These are all things that are blatantly undesirable for the EU - it would, in fact, defeat the entire purpose of the EU, and allow Britain to dictate EU policy even while not being itself a part of it.
I have yet to hear any concrete proposal for how a post-Brexit world should look that actually makes any sense - they're all either vague "rule britannia!" handwaves, or rainbow-shitting-unicorn pipe dreams where the EU bends over backwards and turns the continent into basically a British vassal state. The best negotiations you're going to get, while getting all the things Brexiters want, would have the EU treat the UK the way it treats the US - maybe a close ally and partner, but still lacking a lot of the benefits of EU membership. No free travel, no free trade. British companies wanting to sell in the EU would have to follow EU product standards, and pay import tariffs, just like US companies. (And, with the UK market being tiny compared to all of Europe, most would de facto follow EU regulations even for domestic goods, so they can sell abroad more easily). Some sort of compromise on the Irish border will be needed, but that's likely to be rougher on the UK than the EU - a de facto border between NI and the British Isles, with NI being in the Schengen area.
They could just not brexit and be fine?
But the will of (52%) the people!!!
52% of the people who actually bothered to vote in some dodgy referendum 2 years ago.
Seems like a pretty airtight mandate right there
It's almost as if giving into xenophobia on a 51/49 referendum is a terrible idea!
she might as well ask for an extension through the remainder of her parliamentary term
inb4 we crash out with no deal because "the vote to rule out no-deal was nonbinding" even though the vote to systematically fuck us in the ass was also nonbinding because our government has a single collective braincell
now now, you can't ignore the people's will when it's convieniant, only when its about things that are inconvieniant like taxes for the rich and ending austarity
you hear that lads? he's scared! you've got him on the ropes! that sweet new trade deal is coming any time now!
