Well they're moving fast aren't they?
They should name it Borat.
One day Moscow will be renamed to Putin. His version of the Soviet Union is shaping up nicely.
In otherwords, his cult of personality lives on, even he resigned as the country's longest president.
I think Putingrad has a better ring to it.
Fits with Leningrad and Stalingrad. Speaking of, do you think they'll rename St. Petersburg and Volgograd again?
Rename of all cities you Putin Make economy collapse Is of good thing make stronger dah
Borat has ruined that name for me. I hear this name and my mind immediately adds 'he is pain in my assholes' to it.
FYI it's especially funny this is happening to Astana. I was born there in 91 and since then the City already changed names 3 times. In the 60s they changed it from Akmolinsk to Zelinograd then in 91 to Aqmola and finally in 97 to Astana. And now apparently Nursultan.
I'm really scared of a day when Putin decides to step down because it will go exactly like in Kazakhstan - he will step down but retain most of the power by getting some kind of a "Nation Leader" title.
Better than Astana (literally "capital") tbh. Plus, dude basically built country from scratch
