https://www.mcvuk.com/business/epic-games-store-announces-first-redeemable-key-deal-with-humble-bundle Sweeney stated on Twitter last week that “we wholeheartedly support key sales for non-exclusive games.” And the first recipient of that support will be Humble Bundle, allowing the charity-driven retailer to include Epic Games Store titles in its bundles. The key point being (sorry) that Epic “will receive no revenue share from games purchased through the Humble Store,” the company shared through a statement.
It's better than what it was. But I'm still not using the Epic Launcher in wake of that whole "secretly keeping files" thing.
“non-exclusive games” lol so it means fucking nothing at all?
I don't want to give any kind of support to their store at this point. Including playing any games through it even if I purchased it in third-party store.
It's not. He's saying exclusive games (IE: Ones not on Steam) are still not going to be available on Humble Bundle.
Oh good I somehow managed to miss that. It's still just as bad.
There's still some ambiguity how the keys are distributed. If it's "when you buy a game or bundle on Humble, you get to pick either Steam or EGS" then this is great. But if it is "If you don't want to buy from our store, you can buy from Humble which will give you a key to our client anyways" then it isn't so great.
