Welcome to the joint Titanfall and Apex Legends thread! Discuss all things related here.
Titanfall is a shooter game played from a first-person perspective. Players fight as free-running foot soldier "pilots" who can command agile, mech-style exoskeletons—"Titans"—to complete team-based objectives. The game is set on derelict and war-torn colonies at the Frontier fringe of space exploration as either the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) or the Frontier Militia.

Quoting the last post on the previous thread -
Me and my mates have been trying to get into Apex Legends, however we keep getting wrecked no matter what we do. We all want to like the game, but right now, we feel it's a bit difficult because we're not sure how everything works.
We've been wiped several times by other teams where we'd be sure we should've won. Just a few days ago, I got shot something like 2-3 times by what I think was a Devotion - lost all my armour. My
mate shoots one of them in the face twice with a shotgun (the EVA, I think) and, far as we could tell, he didn't even lose all his armour.
How does armour work? Weapon damage? Like I said, we all want to like the game, but we're all finding it a bit difficult because of how vague the game is in how its mechanics function.
The game's mechanics aren't vague in the least bit. If you were hit 2-3 times and you lost your armor, it probably was by a sniper rifle, not a devotion. your friend probably missed most of his eva-8 pellets because it's a shotgun, not an assault rifle. Just as likely, all those times the enemies probably had better armor or aim.
Armor is armor. Every square is 25 hitpoints. White is 2 squares, blue is 3, purple and gold are 4.
Dunno if this would be an appropriate place to post this, if y'all consider me posting a video of myself not cool i'll delete the link asap.

The last Update fixed all crashes for me and my buds. Has been something bothering me for a while, happy it's finally gone and we can play as usual.

Armor is straight up an extra health bar, and helmets reduce the headshot damage multiplier
Crash fix is like favour from the gods.
How do I stop being fucking awful at this game?
What aspect do you think you suck at?
If it's shooting, I suggest dropping hot/skull/market every game to get a good feel for the gunplay and low resource encounters. If you drop cold and just wait until 5 squads, you're gonna get wiped by squads who have gotten into fights and won, accumulating more loot than you had a chance to see
has the game been laggier lately? i've been stuttering like crazy recently
Snipers + spitfire
Been playing a bit of TF|2 MP more often recently, and it's really picking back up again.
Had a lot of fun pulling out the 'ol Ronin and blasting music while Sword Core is up
shame the numbers seem to be dropping again - we went from peaks of 5-6k on monday mornings to ~2k
Camping means losing momentum, go for fights, get warmed up and get looted up.
Drop Hot so you can get a feel for the game.
Use your movement to bait shots and kill them when they're low on ammo. Learn to differentiate weapons so you can do that easier and more effectively (baiting a pk shot means you get a small window to shoot back, baiting R99 clips can give you an easier time on early game, etc.)
Fights should be dealt with as fast as possible. Long fights means more chances of getting pinched, don't be afraid of running away from these.
Caves are death traps, and there's usually little in terms of good high ground, run from these fights if you can.
It's a squad game, be ready to follow up all the insane and retarded plays your teammates do. The more chaotic and insane your friends are, the more fun and unpredictable your game is.
On the other hand, ping and coordinate attacks on enemies when their teammates can't follow through, make quick work of them and the rest of the fight will be really damn easy.
Make sure you're playing with a comfortable "effective DPI" (ingame sensitivity * mouse DPI), 680 to 1600 is a good window for most players, I'm using 1280 currently and it never hindered me in any way shape or form. (you can use CSGO settings if you had any prior experience with it)
Most importantly tho, a good mindset. You'll lose for a variety of bullshit reasons and that's an issue inherent to the BR genre. Raging and self doubt will erode your skills and make you underperform every time.
Man about the dpi and sensitivity , I played thousands of hours of csgo with 1 ingame sens and 400dpi , for apex I'm playing on 2 I think and its faster than what I'm used to.I wonder if I should switch back to the extremely slow sens because I aim well with that but apex is a much more dynamic game than cs and requires faster and broader mouse movements most of the time.
800eDPI is already pretty low, but I'd give it a shot nevertheless, you'd never know. Just make sure to not overdo it and hurt your arm in the process.
Looks like Patch 1.1 has a bug resetting everyone's accounts.
Has anything happened or been said by Respawn since the Battle Pass? Anything notable, like new weapons or balance changes?
They accidentally patched in a leaver penalty which was promptly removed from what I saw
I was hoping for leaver penalty , but after reading a dev post on reddit , I don't think what they have planned is going to change anything.
The planned leaving penalty does not factor in respawn token time , so if you die you can instantly leave without any repercussions..

Oh yeah my boy Aculite is just so dang entertaining to watch, he dominates at BR games.
I want that Pathfinder skin

God that sucks
Played with 2 randoms last night, we slayed with 9 Kills each and won the match, so squad'd up, Did about the same second time round.
Third time though one of the guys split off from us and landed on the other side of the map, dies due to the Storm and proceeded to chew us out over mic and chat about how we left him to die, how he carried us the past two rounds etc. then rage quit. Me and the other dude just laughed and carried on with our night.
Some people are crazy when it comes to online play, we were all having an absolute blast the first two games, first time I've ever carried on with a squad too as we did so well and as a team (almost) flawlessly.
I was playing awhile ago when my whole team went down and I ran around screaming for dear life. In the end, I got killed. It was awful awful awful

What framerate do you play at, slideshow? It's really not translating well to video.
New patch is out and changes are pretty huge. Exciting if gibby is viable now.
Which new patch? I see nothing about a new patch on the subreddit
