• Crashing on loading scene

Hey guys, After the last update, I can't open any server... When it comes the loading scene, the game just close and I get back to my desktop... I've tried a lot of tutorials, but none has worked for me. Could anyone tell me what I can do?
Can you please post your system specs? CPU, GPU, RAM
120gb ssd I5 4440 8gb ram  GTX 960 4gb
Oof, can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure even if your Rust didn't crash, it would be unplayable. 8 gigs ram is minimum, and if that processor is the one I think it is, (4th gen), you might want to upgrade your whole machine. the hard drive shouldn't be a problem I think, unless you've capped it, and I am unsure about the graphics card.
That's true, but I've been playing rust since its releases, until friday. I've experienced some lag eventually, but most of the time, I played with great conditions... So... What happenned? The update was huge and my computer can't handle anymore? Please... If someone could explain me, I'll be glad
I think your suspicions are correct, you were running on borderline hardware and the latest update (with optimization issues) has pushed you over the edge.
I really doubt that this and similar issues are caused by resource constraints. I've been playing on an over 10 year old Intel2 Quad with 8Gb of DDR2 RAM and a RX480 with 30fps on 4k. Some months ago I was even playing with just 4 Gb of memory. Having less RAM than required causes unneeded blocks to be pushed into the VRAM, so as long as the VRAM doesn't overflow the only problem that can be expected are performance issues caused by page faults (missing RAM blocks that cause the program to be put into sleep mode until it is loaded back into the RAM), especially on HDD backed VRAM. If I lower the resolution to 1080p I get really good frame rates, even with such an old CPU, so I wonder how useful these hardware inquiries are, unless there are some known real incompatibility issues with certain hardware.
Yeah... My friend is playing with an I5 3 generation and HDD, with the same specs of me and it's working greatly...
yeah but no staff are responding to our posts i mean shit thats 2 people having the same problem different specs and we know for sure there are people with lowers specs going around playing rust. I WANT SOMEONE TO FUCKING HELP ME
Maybe if you bothered to read the sticky you'd know staff doesn't come here. This is a COMMUNITY forum, not a help desk. This forum exists for people who have been here probably longer than you've been out of diapers. If you submit an official support ticket you'll get and official response from a member of staff. https://support.facepunchstudios.com/hc/en-us
