I actually feel sorry for MJ that his final legacy will be some crank documentary that plays with evidence to suggest that he's a pedo. Look, I get it - Vitiligo MJ looks like a fucking ghoul and his childlike glee is creepy as hell. But if he was really pulling a Saville then why the hell did it take his victims - who used to swear that no, MJ did not badtouch them before receiving epiphanies almost a decade later - so long to come forward, as opposed to Saville where they came forward immediately?

This is never a reasonable argument, there's immense victim blaming that comes with trying to come forward about this sort of thing, and speaking out can turn you into a public figure that gets incredible amounts of shit flung at them. Abusers can also manipulate children into not speaking out out of fear or loyalty, and by the time you're old enough to come to terms with it you've already got assholes saying "oh yeah well if you were abused why didn't you speak out about it immediately". It makes complete sense that someone would he unwilling to speak out until the recent larger movement of people speaking out about abuse in the entertainment industry, because now people have a better chance of actually being listened to.
Tbqh the only people who are making money off of him being dead was his deadbeat of a Father and his Family's Estate.
Oh I bring up Savile directly. Instead of taking about a decade, it took Savile's accusers only days to come forth with accusations. And with Savile, he didn't really have the rumors floating around before this. People made jokes about how close he was with kids but that's about it.

Do you realize how abuse works? Most of the time people who were abused only realize it later down the road. Oftentimes the gaslighting or grooming brainwashes them into thinking that what's happening isn't bad or if they reveal what happened. They would get in trouble. It ain't a fucking "Oh i'm aware that this is fucked right now". (I got gaslighted for 5-6 years until i realized it was abuse)

So why did they go to the media about this first? Why did it take about ten years and some crank documentary to expose people to the truth rather then hard hitting evidence? Feds routinely raided Neverland Ranch. MJ must have hired Mr. Clean (a fictional character!) to dispose of the evidence because none was there. None existed while he was alive, and none existed posthumously. All we have are people with something to gain from 'exposing' the crimes of a dead man for ten minutes of fame as well as whatever cut those documentary producers are paying them.
