A guy joined my server this morning. I have all the security enabled. But he connected & started doing a lot of weird stuff & going around head shooting people & no one could kill him.He was also constantly spamming the server to go play on Hawk Servers I had multiple players reporting the guy & the weird thing was. He doesn't show up in my server logs as ever connecting to it. But they told me his name & he was called Blast^^ |. I tried to look him up on steam & couldn't find that exact username & they were over 14,000 people called Blast.
Just wondered if anyone has come across this. Because my server logs do not show a player with that name ever connecting to it at all.
Maybe you or someone who was there at the time has him in the list with all the players that you played recently with. You know, the one for adding friends from recent games.
What about IP
I've scanned my logs. There's literally no traces at all of anyone connecting, other than the regulars. They sent me screenshots of the guy spamming the server chat with the urls. But he simply doesn't appear. Only way I can think it was possible, is if he was using a illegal copy that spoofed the server some how.
Still investigating, because I have a flag system for players. The more trusting, helpful ones get specific flags. The ones i need to keep an eye on get another. Helps organise the likely & the unlikely.
Don't link to the spammed server, you'll give traffic they don't deserve.
