What's the point even
Lol, so it's 15 minutes long?
oh so they just did a dub of our censored version then
Good thing Queen lasted into the 90s.
Excerpts from the release:
"Mary, darling I think I'm ******"
"I know Fred, we could tell from a mile away you *********************"
"you're a ****** Fred"
"no, I want to ride my ********"
And this is why I can never take any of Hollywood's claims of social progressivism seriously.
filthy filthy lucre
They see money in social progressivism
I imagine so, to a certain extent, but Western music is actually pretty popular in Asia.
The 'Bohemian Rhapsody except no gay scenes' on youtube
The Bohemian Rhapsody movie except every time there's a gay scene you get excerpts from 'Winnie The Pooh Becomes an Autocrat'
Well yes but it is China.
Nobody wants to get hissy pissy with them.
Why even release it then? Seems disrespectful to the guy, and the wider LGBT+ community.
Cause moolah
Why is homosexuality forbidden in China, anyway? You'd think the country not being influenced by christianity or the monotheist religion would make them "not give the slightest fuck" about sexual orientation.
Being "an undesirable" in the eyes of the party does not need any reason or basis in reality
If I understand it correctly, in many Asian cultures, morality is derived more from societal pressures, rather than from an authority like religion.
a number of things like this are actually from existing western influences in the 1800s and earlier.
I imagine gay people are an easy scapegoat to use in China in order to gain more power, I guess.
Almost the same reason why the west used to hate homosexuals. Asian countries often aren't as progressive.
It's a totalitarian regime that needs more drones to work the factories. Homosexuals can't have kids
Wouldn't it honestly be best for them to just be forced to either deal with it or not get the film? i feel like we're selling them some notion that the west will just bend over backwards to please them, meanwhile they literally just squat down and take a shit on the floor of the metro train they took to get to the theater.
I feel like Hollywood needs to show some spine, because China will never not play hardball if we don't stop just rolling over every time they bark the order.
yeah but they repealed the 1 child policy almost a decade ago now
China literaly doesn't cares, and its pretty much their way or no way.
Pretty sure they just wave a TON of money and promises of even more money if Hollywood does it the way they want, and money is the only thing that really matters so, yeah, who cares about such an important characteristic of a real person right?...
Hollywood has no spine. And I'm sure China would rather arrest "terrorists" caught smugling DVDs of an uncut movie than surrender to anything the west could want and, worst of all, what the chinese people themselves would want.
