https://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/congress/article228379304.html WASHINGTON Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is using the Trump administration’s summary of the Mueller report to accuse the Obama administration of being soft on Russia — challenging the Obama White House’s longstanding assertion that it was McConnell who hampered warnings about Russian election interference. On the Senate floor Monday, the Kentucky Republican hailed Attorney General William Barr’s report on Mueller’s findings. McConnell said Barr concluded Russia had carried out online disinformation campaigns and computer hacking efforts aimed at sowing discord and influencing the 2016 election, but the senator blamed the Obama administration for not doing more to counter those efforts. “It is deeply disturbing that the Obama administration was apparently insufficiently prepared to anticipate and counter these Russian threats,” McConnell said in a Senate floor s peech. “It was hardly a secret prior to November 2016 that Putin’s Russia was not and is not our friend. And yet, for years, the previous administration ignored, excused and failed to confront Putin’s malign activities, both at home and abroad.” Both former vice president Joe Biden and Obama White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough have accused McConnell of looking to soft-pedal their warnings about Russia interference before the election. FUCKING TURTLE CUNT
always on the attack, never surrender or admit fault
Goddamn, we might have to move the P in front of the G and O giving how much emphasis they’re putting on Projection lately.
The man is the least popular Senator in the nation and has a meager thirty percent approval in his own state. You're telling me NO ONE can challenge him?
nothing you can do, folks Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know
So is there anything stopping the current party in charge from being tough on intervening foreign powers, or is that off the table?
Trump wants to be Putin's best friend, he want to soften up America's relationship with Russia until it acquires the consistency of sex lube. It's only been through the pressure of (Republican-dominated) Congress that he has done anything towards Russia besides spread America's cheeks wider. He also just decided not to implement the sanctions Congress passed, and Republicans let him get away with it. Republican leadership should be assumed to be compromised.

In summary: Shut the fuck up, McConnell. You were also one of those being soft on Russia in 2016; you don't have the license to call others out for 'being weak or soft or cautious'.
The balls on this Jackass. How do they get away with this shit?
The same way they’ve been getting away with it for over 2 years now.
Didn't Mitch McConnell specifically stop Obama from speaking out by knowingly preventing a bipartisan acknowledgement and condemnation of Russian Interference that would've been released mid-2016? This guy can get fucked.
"Mitch McConnell accuses Obama of being Trump"
Yes, and the statement they did eventually put out was more or less: 'hey guys you should watch your election machines if you feel like it, but no big if you don't want to we've got your back'.
One of the worst politicans this country has ever had.
gerrymandering.jpg
The Senate can't be gerrymandered. The whole state votes for their two senators. You could make the argument of voter suppression, but that's a completely different thing.
Your are correct, though it does stack the chamber in the favor of Republicans by over-representing less populous and rural states. I think we should seriously reevaluate how the Senate represents the People and try to switch to some form of proportional representation instead. This of course is a pipe dream, as it would require a constitutional amendment that has a snowball's chance in hell of being ratified.
That's literally what the House of Representatives is for. The problem is that it hasn't been adjusted to represent population growth since the 20s, when it got locked to the number we have now. If you did adjust the number of seats, we'd have over 1000 representatives, which would be another problem of its own.
The House of Representatives is but one chamber. As we've seen with having a split congress, what can pass through the House is often killed in the Senate. The unequal representation of the Senate is part of the problem too. I don't disagree that the low number of seats and excess power that the Senate majority leader is a problem, either.
Cant wait for this psychopath to drop dead of old age.
um mitch recieved classified briefings by obama on this in 2016 and chose to do nothing.
