After all, this is still the least suck video game adaptation of a movie we got
You know, I could tolerate a second one if it was somewhat relevant. It's like how I'd rip my hair out but at least understand if there was suddenly a FORTNITE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD movie announced. But...do people seriously still play Angry Birds? I haven't heard anyone mention it since 2014, at best.
I cannot believe I actually laughed at the I eat dirt part.
I didn't even know the first movie came out
But will it be as woke as the first one?
wdym
Sony actually had me there for a bit, thinking that Spiderverse was the beginning of a redemption arc for their studio.
There was this whole thing about how the first Angry Birds movie was a BASED and REDPILLED metaphor for the European migrant crisis

The funny thing is Angry Birds makes a lot more sense from the opposite perspective. Decedent, technological foreigners invade thier land and plunder thier resources, and the birds retaliate by flying into thier buildings.
Fucking hell, it never ends with this movie and the allegories. This is amazing.
I was dragged into watching the first movie practically kicking and screaming, and came out thinking it was pretty okay. So I've got some hopes for this one
Who the fuck did this to you
The kind of people you can't say no to. Family.
When I was six years old, I unrelentingly bugged the shit out of my father so he'd take me to see the live-action Garfield movie. He did it and I swear to god I've never been let off the hook for that one. He still says it's the single worst piece of media he's ever experienced and I feel so fucking bad that I made him watch the god damned Garfield movie. I've apologized so many times and he's still kind of mad at me for that one, fourteen years later.
As long as it has Terence, I might watch it.
At least you didn't take your Grandpa to Pokemon Live.
So if the previous film is a big metaphor for stopping muslims from immigrating to europe does that mean the next film is a metaphor for europeans and muslims teaming up to stop Russia from nuking everyone?
Man this movie actually looks pretty great from a technical point of view. Always interesting to see how far things have come (outside of Disney movies). The actual movie doesn't look that bad either to be honest.
Squeal team six, man what a funny pun about the team that killed terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden.
The physics of the dirt were too good not to laugh.
fucking hell these are hilarious, are there more of these?
Okay, I take my comment back; Sony Animation writers are clearly sneaking in ironic 9/11 shitposts into Angry Birds. Those bastards have been playing 7D chess this whole time and we've been blind to it.
I watched it out of curiosity a while back. Honestly if you close your eyes and ignore the whole tie in part, it was a pretty solid animated film in it's own right. More power to them.
Jordan Peele needs to take some notes. This is how you create symbolism.

I was spared from seeing this with family because it looked too stupid for them. I kinda agree, and the sequel isn't really changing my mind. It just looks the same as the last time, only this time they're teaming up to fight and EVEN BIGGER BADDIE! I don't know about the Angry Birds Lore, but I'm pretty sure these things weren't in the games. Even if you take away the world it's based from it's still a really bland and toothless animated comedy for little kids with some groaned adult humor. I only played the Star Wars spin-off game to kill time on road trips, I didn't think an entire movie could be gathered from a plot-less freenium game.
