The end of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election has lifted a large cloud over the White House, with President Donald Trump
touting the report’s conclusions as a “complete and total exoneration.” “The Mueller report was great,” Trump told reporters Tuesday at the Capitol. “It could not have been better.”
A new Morning Consult/Politico survey conducted after Attorney General William Barr released his summary of Mueller’s findings shows a negligible immediate effect on how the
public views the president.
The March 25-26 survey found 42 percent of voters approve of the president and 55 percent disapprove – a net approval rating 13 percentage points underwater and virtually identical
to the poll conducted the week before.
Asked directly, 39 percent of voters said they had a more favorable view of the president after answering previous questions regarding the Mueller report, compared with 43 percent
who said they had a less favorable view.
Probably because nobody's been able to actually read the report yet?
Immediately after Barr's memo all the media pulled up NO COLLUSION in all caps, but it doesn't seem to have swayed anyone really.
The American people aren't dumb enough to be satisfied with Barr's weekend book report. They know that what he presented isn't a substitute for the report and isn't conclusory.
It's depressing how stupid this administration thinks everyone else is.
Another forum user posted this in a separate Mueller thread, and I'm posting it here because I believe it to be a relevant take on this whole situation:

I have a slightly different take. I think that beyond something that is almost universally beneficial or damning for Trump, there isn't much that is going to move his approval from now. It's been pretty steady around 41 or so percent for a good while now. The government shutdown tanked it quite a bit but once it ended, his approval moved right back to where it was. His approval is pretty elastic, it seems. I would suspect that this has a lot to do with media coverage and partisan divides.
I think after a couple months, and after the ensuing House committee battles he’ll get a small bump in the polls.
It's almost like he's still a terrible president and unlikable piece of shit even if he's not a Russian plant.
Imagine "well at least he's not a Russian plant" being someone's reason to suddenly approve of the job he's doing.
Years of propaganda solidified 30% into supporting trump no matter what barring a direct military strike against american citizens. It might dip a few percent when the report is released.
Why are news articles treating it like the whole deal is over
"TOTAL EXONERATION!"
"Can we see?"
"No, here's 4 bits of sentences I took from the report. That's enough, right?"

ya took him 2 days and 4 pages to 'conclude' trump was innocent yet apparently its still too volumous that he can't meet the april 2nd deadline to give it to congress.
Lol republicans are
Yeah, since its fucking party before country for them. Fucking traitors even if Russia is not involved.
Honestly this is some of the worst reporting I've ever seen. Across the board, consistent, terrible reporting on this issue.
I think not much would change because the right wing media machine means that one side of the country will never accept this idea that they are wrong.
