A religiously homogeneous kindergarten is suspect in the first place. I don't think its a good idea. Now Salafism unless i'm very mistaken is some really fundamentalist shit, and a religiously homogeneous fundamentalist kindergarten is definitely a really fucking bad idea. So i can frankly see why people wanted it out of the neighborhood. Not that i think it really solves anything.
That sign looks so out of place
What a world we live in where a rainbow stands primarily for homosexuality and not peace and love.
A world full of fucking idiots unfortunately.
An LGBT, fundamentalist Islamic kindergarten does sound like it'd make for a good Sitcom though.
I'm not a perfect user either but so far I've only seen you shitpost
They deserve it for using comic sans
Salafism is the belief that the first three generations of Muslims (the Salaf) maintained the most pious and honorable lives, and that they try to emulate those persons. It's based off a verse from the Hadith. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best people are those of my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them..." It's inherently very fundamentalist, but not extremist by nature. Within Islamic theology, it's not much different from other spheres of belief. However, through a political manifestation (as can be seen here), it's one of the most dangerous and regressive forces that poison the Islamic world.
But isn't the LGBTQ rainbow flag precisely about peace and love? I mean, the colors have their own meaning (which, admittedly are really stupid to me - like magic, for instance) but as a whole I think it's meant to be about inclusion and love. And I don't even think it should be used as a "gay" symbol, even in the LGBTQ usage - just inclusion. I guess I'm being long winded by just saying they're meant to be the same damn thing in my mind.
uhh I don't think they were thinking that when deciding to use a rainbow
I wasn't refuting that, I was actually just correcting Sleeves' comment.
