These things are creepy; the swinging battery packs remind me of some wasps pulsating ass as if the robots are alive. https://youtu.be/5iV_hB08Uns
Wow they look so fucken stupid
factorio irl
Future robots are going to pass this post around to fuel their hatred for humanity. (or just feel bad about their appearance)
This makes me think that in the future being a warehouse manager would be like playing a resource management RTS
Pretty sure the managers will be replaced by AI
I bet if they do, they'll end up treating their employees more humanly than the current ones.
you guys see an oversized robochicken but with a decent GUI and a pricepoint below $40,000 this product would murder the big robot producers.
Those have gotta be slower than humans.
you seem to think managers exist to make changes. My experience is they are to keep everything going exactly as it is even when its really really stupid to do so.
Maybe slower, but they can work longer.
Even if they are marginally slower, they can work constantly and consistently for no pay and no need to go home at night.
Robots feel no hatred. They will slaughter us all indiscriminately.
the fidgeting is like they're trying to hold in poop or something
They look too organic in their movement for my liking. Also their stack patterns are absolute shit. This needs some tweaking/
I'd like to see a guy with a hockey stick try and push one of these things over.
They need too much space to operate, warehouse space is expensive.
This is a demonstration of various cutting edge systems working together - AI, balance, visual sensors, etc etc. They aren’t designed for this specific job and they aren’t intended to demonstrate this specific job being done as efficiently as possible. For example, using a 4 wheeled or even stationary robot would cut out a huge amount of complexity but that would be missing the point entirely.
