The phone division has been hemorrhaging for a good while, I am surprised they didn't just sell of their phone line.
They just need to be more aggressive about making every character in every Sony film use Sony™ brand smartphone and listen to music on Sony™ brand headphones
It's ok, Goodisnezon will eventually buy it and all tech companies in the near future anyways.
I like my XA2 Ultra a whole lot but sony is really shit at software. This thing was supposed to get Android Pie a month ago but it's been delayed indefinitely because it was bricking people's devices when it piloted in Russia.
I'm pretty sure PlayStation is the only thing keeping them afloat nowadays.
I guarantee it is. When was the last time you saw anyone using anything from Sony that wasn't a bottom of the barrel product?
They have an entire Insurance branch that keeps them afloat.
To be fair, I’ve never heard of their insurance branch either. So you can’t really blame him for being “blinded by fanboyism”, when I don’t think that many people outside of Japan have heard of it either.
The only reason why I slapped Vin is because they have routinely posted misinformed or one sided information; repeatedly. They have a hate boner for Sony, anything posted about the company has them crashing in.
Professional and consumer Sony cameras are great, actually.
Their phones are nice too.
I actually was aware of their insurance division. It's just that since it's Japan-only, I'd have imagined that it'd be far behind the global juggernaut that is PlayStation as their main financial lifeline...
well, and the financial services groups of a lot of these Japanese conglomerates are more focused on keeping money from employees inside the company, than attracting business from outside it.
