yeah I don't really care if this is made by only 7 people, the quality just isn't quite there. It feels.... so hollow, there's no sense of rush nor weight of impact.
I didn't think it could be that bad but jesus, there is zero momentum at all.
Yeh this looks super meh, wow
what the hell is that godlike traction, it looks as if the car would've flipped over at mach 5 in those turns
Looks pretty close to Burnout 3 & Burnout Revenge, which is probably what they're going for.
It looks like they really wanted to make a Burnout game but are severely limited by their resources, which is a shame, because the people behind it are the ones who made Burnout. At least the UI doesn't look as bad as it did back in February.

It has potential to be something good. Just needs some more tuning with the car damage system and perhaps something that gives more feedback when driving fast.
I think they are trying way to hard to recreate Burnout 3/4 without trying to improve on the series at all, they could do a lot more with the physics and graphics. Burnout Revenge came out almost 14 years ago, and it doesn't look much better than that. Playing games like Beam.ng really makes the physics in this trailer look super dated, but we'll see when it gets released.
I've played Burnout 3 pretty recently, and it looks like it controls a lot like that which I'm all for. I'd kill for a HD version of Burnout 3, but hopefully this will be somewhat close.
lack of any real damage on cars saddens me deeply
it looks like a mobile game I coulda played years ago lol
Even Burnout 1 had slight crumpling of crashed cars.

Worse. Looks like an arcade game from the 90s
Imo, beam.ng has set a new standard on what I should expect out of a racing game. Besides the fully physical cars, the suspension physics and tire model should be standard. Modern consoles and most people's gaming rigs can handle that.
I realized this too. Such a huge trap. Pampering nostalgia involves bringing the best experiences from the past, not recreation with all its flaws.

You must have some incredible rose tinted nostlgia glasses
BeamNG's incredibly complex physics do not scale up well. It's already very difficult for a gaming PC to deal with 8 or 10 cars in that engine, even though it is optimized for multithreading.
Wreckfest has a more scalable approach which looks good and would work far better for a game in the vein of Burnout.
If it had just a slightly heftier feel to cars, it could be much better. Not a realistic amount, but just a tad more.
Mechanics wise, I should have been clearer
Looks like one reason that the cars feel a lot lighter than in BurnOut is that DDRR is lacking that horizontal delay with the camera.
Man, it sucks because I want to support the team behind this. I just don't know how much I'd play it.
Honestly shocked at how the UI is exactly the same as Burnout3, it's missing some polish here and there but it's mostly a copy.
Exactly, and it doesn't have to be a serious simulation by any means, I'd love an arcade-y version of something like beam.ng. FlatOut is another series I think would do great with better tech, even though they weren't necessarily the best games, the one I played had a lot of fun moments that could only be improved upon.
I'd buy it during sale just to support past Burnout Devs, too bad it's EGS
"Dangerous Driving" what kinda lame ass title is that
