So here’s the first DLC trailer, along the DLC itself it’s has release today.
I'm genuinely surprised this is still a thing, what are the chances that this goes the way of no man's sky and ends up playable in a few years
Nope, it was a forgettable buggy mess.
the last i played it was about a year ago, it was still pretty bad but i could be biased. i have no idea how it's progressed since then.
The procedural survival game was just the early access version. When it was released, it was like the trailer. Full blown story mode with three different characters to piece things together from multiple perspectives.
It actually wasn't too bad, but the console version was an absolute trash fire and the PC version didn't run fantastic. Plenty of bugs too.
Well, a least from my POV, the plot is not entirely too forgettable for Arthur's storyline as the game's backstory was connecting to him alone, was good enough as it is... but not so much for the other two main characters (Sally and Oille) storylines, due of how they -and I admit- were rushed and unperformed without the bugs help.
Yeah plot-wise I'm not a big fan of this game, but I still like it because of the aesthetic and the world it's set in. It's quite a unique game in that sense.
One big thing about the game I found very dumb was the randomized world. It adds literally nothing to the story and in fact detracts from it imo.
The reason for this? Each of the three characters worlds get randomized which is fucking weird because they all take place at the exact same times and they crisscross each others paths. For example, Arthur and Sally meet up multiple times throughout the story. Now that wouldn't be an issue in other games with a fixed world but it becomes disorienting when in Arthur's story line he meets Sally in an ally in one part of the city but in Sally's story line that same ally is now in a completely different place.
The game was also a buggy mess and Sally and Ollie's story's were complete wet farts. They're waaaay shorter and less satisfying than Arthur's.
Keep in mind I only played this on release so it may have changed since then but this game did not impress me.
