The skins visually look alright, about on par with Siege especially with Elite skins coming soon.
The prices are some bullshit though, 7 bucks for an Epic is ludicrous and they should at least be obtainable via a huge grind much like Siege.
I personally have never given a fuck about cosmetics in games. The only place I hear people in-game talking about cosmetics is CSGO skins, but at least those can be traded and have "value".
Shameless copying Fortnite UI.
UI designers at DICE are shit now. They've completely dropped the ball in BF1 and BF5.
P much every UI designer has sucked shit for like the past 10 years. Idk whatever happened to a big fat "MULTIPLAYER" button that opens a server browser so I can only assume theres just a federal mandate that demands 18 clicks to open any menu of worth. Whats really impressive is that despite how low the standards have gotten for modern UI, BF5 still managed to blow it out of the water and show everyone how it can get even worse.
still a fun game tho and I'll fight anyone that disagrees

This was a pretty sick main menu imo.

Remember when cosmetics and the like could be unlocked by doing tasks or at the least, earned ingame currency instead of paying for exclusive funbucks that you'd never be able to purchase the exact amount you needed without having some left over? Good times.
One thing that gets me is that it genuinely feels like they're intentionally not adding authentic and accurate uniforms.
I mean for fuck's sake there is a random Allied jacket that is patched together and reads GOD SAVE THE QUEEN on the back.
I'll let you figure out as to why that's wrong
I'm convinced that they're saving authentic uniforms for paid-only as one of these paid only skins is a 95% accurate Afrika Korp uniform while one of the more expensive non-paid ones is a 90% accurate German Zeltbahn with a semi-accurate camo lmao
Also really amusing part of the entire ordeal is how there's only 2 base sets of cosmetics that are actually somewhat British, which would amount to only 6 or so accurate cosmetics out of around 20+ for the British
man if it wasn't clear that the game was going to have Lootboxes before the BF2 fiasco
This was the bee's knees, mate:

Look at how sexy that UI is.

I don't know what happened with DICE's UX team, BF4's ingame UI is actually amazing, and has one of the best ingame weapon customization systems I've seen in a long time. Mind you this is not including battlelog, which, while quick, was one of the buggiest longterm plugins I've had to use.
But V? V's menu systems don't feel like someone actually designed them. And I mean that seriously. They feel like placeholder menus some really, really ignorant dev put together with zero care of how people are going to use them. To switch menus, at launch, you had to go three menus deep mid match, and to change your scope? Two more further from that. There is zero reason as to why you can't customize anything from the spawn screen. Everything in the game is built with "How many unnecessary clicks can we add?"
