Some context on the whole controversy
Jesus that thumbnail.
Had no idea about this guy, but I do know and will be checking out his stuff. Bit of a shame if this was a real shake down.
I like the snub at Disney at the end with the whole video being shot backstage in Universal Studios.
BackDoorDisney and others like him are scumbags for breaking the law by urbexing in places their not allowed.
Oh my gaaaaad how dare they take pictureS~!!
These areas are off limits for a reason, they aren't maintained and Disney doesn't want to risk someone getting hurt in off limits areas. It's a liability waiting to happen
If it's clearly marked off limits, liability isn't on them. If they secured it, and marked it, and someone got in unlawfully, then hurt themselves, whoever owns the property isn't liable.
Unfortunately that's not true, but it should be.
As much as that he shouldn't go into dangerous areas, thats not the problem here, the problem here is that a corporation used the police to harass someone. That is more fucked than then an idiot going where he shouldn't.
I like how instead of coming to the reasonable conclusion that he makes sense as a suspect given his history with disney and how he was the last person to be known to be in that room, he just claims that disney is totally out to get him.
I have Buzzy, come and get em tyranical megacorp

I have my doubts that Imagineers ripped off animatronic instead of carefully disconnecting it and never said anything to operations/security. This is just dumb.
It's a 300lb animatronic, I doubt that one person could've hauled it off, someone would've noticed
Aww I just found this thread and was invested in this mystery. I have my doubts as well, but if Disney just fucked up and reported it as stolen when it was really due to mismanagement it probably means we won't ever hear anything officially from them. I choose to believe Buzzy is out there somewhere in the wild, free as a bird.
Who cares where a fucking animatronic is.
The real issue is that a corporation can bust your doors down with the help of the police if they just accuse you of something.
Innocent before guilty clearly being eroded.
Innocents before proven guilty. A coincidence is worth further investigation. This isn’t that at all. This is abuse of power.
Why are you defending that?
Play stupid games win stupid prizes
They didn't charge him with anything. They obtained a search warrant for iphones and animatronics and searched his house. A search warrant is further investigation. Warrants are issued by judges. The reason they called him so much is to try and get him to consent to a search himself.
Disney reports thing stolen/missing > possible list of suspects include this dude who allegedly has a chip on his shoulder for Disney, allegedly has a lot of access to the parks, and allegedly was the last urbex guy to enter before it was stolen > police view him as prime suspect > police call him, hoping he turns himself in, hoping he gives consent to a search > police obtain search warrant on prime suspect > search turns up empty sans a few phones which are confiscated to check for photos pertaining to the case > evidence points to him not having it, so they stop pursing.
If the Disney Imagineers do have it and this is somehow a massive fuck up of miscommunication in a company too large for its own good, that's gonna be hella embarrassing and I suspect they'll try their best to sweep it under the rug. Which may even include a settlement and NDA with this dude if that turns out to be the case?
Between his story and Jenny Nicholson's story, there seems to be a lot missing about the case related to the guy and the robot.
If the police call you and say they know you did [crime] then they don't have anything on you. If they knew they wouldn't bother calling you, they'd just come get you
Figure this was worth an update

7k doesn't sound like there was anything serious related to animatronics.
But you should be really stupid to not only enter Disney's restricted area but to steal stuff from there too. It doesn't take a genius to know that Disney is one of those companies you don't want to mess with if you are on US territory.
So they have proof he actually did it?
An animatronic like that would be worth way more than 7k, guessing it's just a collection of random shit he's stolen over the years.
Oh wow holy shit, so they did end up getting him jailed.
lol he is a dumbass.
