And of course, it's filled with memes.

This is the 3rd year this has been held. The first two years had actual political discussion, especially during the election. There were even protests over the Wall after some people wrote controversial things on it. This years it's almost exclusively fucking memes.
My college also had one these and it was mostly just full of racist shit and I believe they took it down already.
My uni has a giant rock that anyone is free to paint on. It's got years of layers of paint all over it, always changing appearance.
Every now and then there's controversy as someone puts swastikas on it.
Jesus, Socialist Rifle Association is spreading like wildfire innit?

Imagine a president who runs entirely on vapid emotional arguments
Is this a Turning Point USA thing
they had a “free speech ball” at my school. Basically the same concept, but it was a giant beach ball instead of a wall.
Needs the Berlin wall treatment
How do you write on a beach ball?
with a marker
Sorry, I meant how do you prevent people from messing with it, popping it, ect. There are people who want to take down the Free Speech Wall at my campus so I figured a Free Speech Ball would be easy to destroy.
Ah, good old Sneed's Seed and Feed Formerly Chuck's
Glad that it degenerated into memes instead of fighting
Sophomore year of college my dorm building decided to do one of these during the election cycle, it ended with a full dorm meeting about racism. (The anti-trump people started writing racist shit to get the wall shut down because people were righting pro-trump stuff.)
We had one of these develop naturally on the sidewalks with chalk in front of the Library during the election year. I guess the backstory was some conservative kids chalked out a pro-Trump message on a segment of the path and over the weekend (or maybe overnight, I don't remember) someone had washed it off. We never found out who or what their intentions were but it sparked a huge debate on the campus Facebook group and it basically ended up with an agreement of well if you can draw on the sidewalks so can we. And over the next few days it exploded all around the library with memes and slogans and stuff. It was pretty glorious but even moreso imo in that Campus or some outside group wasn't involved. Just a bunch of college kids with buckets of chalk.
I disagree with the white people shouldbe as proud of it as I am of being mexican.
Nobody should care about skin color. Period.
But yeah I do get the idea. Just wish it didn't have to come to that
I don't like the trend towards racial solidarity...
Yeah I had the same at UNC Greensboro. It was mostly used for frat/sorority adverts
