A no-deal Brexit at the end of next week would be “not nearly as grim” as many believe, one of Theresa May’s senior ministers has said, as both the government and Labour indicated that cross-party talks to resolve the situation remain deadlocked.
Andrea Leadsom, the Commons leader, said preparations would have mitigated many adverse effects of no deal. She also said the idea of a departure extension long enough to require the UK to hold European elections would be “utterly unacceptable”.

What preparations?! As far as we know, y'all are still sitting with your thumbs up your asses!
Local witch calmly explains to Hansel and Gretel how getting into the pot of boiling water won't hurt nearly as much as they think it will and they'll love it once they're in they're, trust me.
Oh, no, they've made preparations. They just going to go underground for a few weeks while the police beat us all when the entire fucking country breaks down and people are understandibly peeved.
Ringing endorsement.
We need more Liz Truss providing inspiring statements on the benefits of leaving the EU:

She's probably literally talking about "Get ready to scrape the mold off your jam" and "Get some canned food" and "stockpile medicine"
Fuck this shit

Remember back in 2016 when suggesting we wouldn't get a deal was insane fear mongering?
These no deal optimists need to fuck off with this attitude that it won't be so bad and we won't know until we do it.
The stakes are very high here. If we leave it will not be simple to come back, as any country could veto our membership. We would undeniably have a much weaker position than we do now even if we did manage to scramble back into the EU.
Leave campaigners have already reneged entirely on their promises. Your word cannot be trusted and simply saying 'it won't be so bad' is not enough.
Out of curiosity, could you provide examples of the reneged promises? Not saying this in support, but just to see what the grounding is there.
Ah, but that was 'just some bus that someone entirely unrelated with the official campaign' produced, I believe, not an official statement.
Fat load of difference of course, but it's what they'll say.
The price of Brexit has been £66 billion so far, plus an impendi..
If you were unironically arguing that point, and not merely projecting what they'd say for the sake of argument, this would be the point where I'd spam the thread with photos of Nigel and Boris and other prominent Leavers doing press conferences in front of that bus.
How about just fucking stop, just leave everything as it is
Leopard eating someone's face says "it's not that bad having your face eaten, really."
What she's saying is it won't be as bad for her because she'll keep her job and can afford to weather the adverse effects of no-deal Brexit. Is there any other profession in the world where you can pursue a course of action without proper planning and not lose your job?
