Hello everyone. I saw on one server script, which makes some kinda of "fog". Simply, it's render distance fog, so everything were rendering in very small distance (about 50-100 meters). So i was wondering about how can i do that? I would like to make that fog and then create cosmetic fog

no, this is just cosmetic fog, and it's not edit render distance
Are you talking about the fog used in maps to separate them? If so you can do it on hammer.

Pretty sure he's looking for lowered draw distance fog ala Silent Hill. Not sure if there's a specific function for that but you could always try forcing the r_farz console command on players. Just make sure your cosmetic fog ends before the maximum draw distance.
Oh yeah, thank you, i've tryed it before, but setted values from -1 to 1 and don't really realized how it's work. Now i understand this command uses hammer points, so r_farz 500 will draw distance in 500 hammer points etc. Thanks a lot.

Yes you can do it with Lua, you cannot run r_farz without sv_cheats set to 1.
