Would you have her represent you?
So I imagine if she's taking after dear old dad, does that mean she will one day be representing one of OJ's kids in court?
If ahe passes the bar there's no reason to discredit her law abilities.
Considering how she's for the most part dissociated herself with young adult living, pushed for the release of jailed non-violent drug offenders, and worked for a group focusing on criminal justice reform... Yeah probably would man
Good for her.
Considering we just got over a scandal where a bunch of rich people paid for their prestigious degrees, I'd still be skeptical.
erm... ok. thats fine for her i guess
But a degree in Law and passing the Bar are different things run by different groups. You could pay off a corrupt law school to print you a J.D. but the BAR is a separate entity you have to pass in order to practice law in many states. It's a notoriously rigorous exam that takes like three days to complete. You're not paying off someone to do your kids SAT here. This is one of the hardest tests in the world.
Yeah, but there's already a foreseeable future where as a newly qualified lawyer she charges ludicrous amounts and has a Kim Kardashian: Attorney at Law reality TV show.
Good for her.
Because Kardashian, really only reason people see the name and assume.
I'm not so much hurt as surprised it's even newsworthy. A friend of mine is studying to be a lawyer. Where's his article?
they weren't paying for the degrees just seats at the schools. Big distinction.
Because someone so mind-numbingly stupid and literally only famous for sucking dick on camera thinks they can be good at anything at all, let alone an extremely difficult career.
God damn you're going to make me do something I don't want to do Defend Kim Kardashian. She's more than just a "mind numbingly stupid" person, and she's actually famous for more than just a sex tape at this point. Over the last 10 years since her sex tape(actually longer) she's developed an empire considerably larger than Kanye Wests. She's done so by utilizing smart people around her, and paying people to make good decisions with her, but to imagine that at no point in time, did she learn a thing from any of them is, well, patronizing to anyone of any background. And her sex tape hasn't been relevant in years. it's not why she's famous now, nor why she's been famous for years. Is she a smart person? I kind of doubt it personally, but I'm not going to say she's mind numbingly stupid when I have no ability to discern that from anything but TV, which is the least trust worthy source for character judgements possible.
I’ll add that I’ve met plenty of really ditzy shallow as fuck people, who are also incredibly smart/good at school/hard workers. So even if Kim Kardashian appears shallow/ditzy, it’s not impossible she could be more intelligent than she seems. Considering how strong her businesses are, and the fact that her dad was a pretty prolific lawyer.
To be fair, I guess, there's plenty of people like Ben "Grain Silos" Carson.
yeah why doesn't she drop dead instead of... pursuing a productive career seriously man what the fuck do you want? how does this affect you?
lmao she's a millionaire businesswoman who spent a lot of time petitioning Trump for prison reform and the release of Alice Johnson, both of her petitions succeeded. If she found a new passion, who are you to shit on her?
I don't like the Kardashians, and I hate the whole cultish celebrity thing they have going on. However, that shouldn't, and won't, stop me from wishing Kim the best of luck. The Bar is notoriously difficult, and I'll have more than enough faith in her if she passes it. Her name shouldn't mean anything, really, and I'm not sure why this warranted an article, but the point stands nonetheless.
And tragically despite the Bar Exam basically being like going toward the trenches at Gallipoli, something near 80% of lawyers end up practicing dinky little unsustainable, underpaying shitlaw or document review in the sweaty, filthy basements of big corporate law firms earning just about minimum wage (or sometimes under), forever crippled by their debt.
straight up brotha these instagram bitches aint nothin but tricks and hos
Regardless of whether or not you consider her a positive role-model right now, this could go a long way in influencing young girls to pursue careers that they may have otherwise seen as improbable due to high male-bias'. Lawyer's tend to be seen as men for the most part, so having one of the most famous women in the world successfully become one, would have a tremendous impact on that.
I hope she succeeds.
I wouldn't really count cashing in some of Kanye's Trump Sycophant Fun Bux much of an accomplishment, especially considering Trump's the sort of person who would immediately turn around have anyone caught with a gram of weed hanged if the next person to talk to him told him it would go over well with his base.
Money won't buy you a brain
you can probably buy them in china on the black market, maybe i could be better at math
So why is the Bar immune to human corruption and bribery?
If it makes her more than a simple celeb, I'm all up for it. Take Kendal with you aswell Kim, goddamn is she fucking useless.
