So this is some crazy shit. I'd saw a headline about her, but didn't think much of it.
There's been other nutcases obsessed with the massacre before, but the FBI can't find her.
I got a text this morning, the school district I work for (an hour north of Denver) is shut today as well.
Report says she purchased a shotgun, so closing them is absolutely the right call.
Better safe than sorry.
Jeez, in the video they mentioned that Columbine gets around 30 trespassers a day, likely those whackos who think it was a hoax. What has this country come to, good lord
It says she's only 18 but she looks a lot older than that to me. I think being notorious is a lot of the reason people like this want to do these shootings, so I'd prefer the media didn't use her name.
Its so they can alert the public and help find her. This isn't glorifying a shooter but actively trying to prevent one
I suppose that's a good point, yeah. I feel dumb now.
it's ok you're not dumb
you're boobies
He was boobies.
You've clearly not been kept abreast of developments on this point.
I live in Colorado Springs and even schools down here are shut down and those who aren't parents aren't sending their kids to school. This whole situation is crazy hoping for an outcome where no one gets hurt.

School lockouts went into effect later in the day, I'm a ref for high school sports balls (not specifying) and had 2 games with Columbine High School while this was happening. There were helicopters and emergency vehicles flying all over the place during the games. I didn't find out until I got home that all other after school events were cancelled for everyone because of this. I know all after school events are cancelled today, but I'm not sure about the status of the schools themselves.
It's terrifying how spree killers and serial killers are turned in to rock stars. Like the fucking Parkland shithead getting tons of love letters.
She is apparently now dead but the details of how she died are not known. Here is a source from a local station Sources
A woman hiking near Echo Lake told sister station KCNC that she was told to leave because a woman matching Pais' description had been seen walking around naked in the area.
Law enforcement confirmed late Wednesday morning that the teen had shot herself.
What could have been going through her mind? Why get naked at a mountain? Why travel all the way to Colorado from Florida? Her apparent suicide only raises more questions.
This whole situation is just weird. This shit came out of no where. When they put the bolo out here there was no information other than her pic her name and that she had some sort of interest in columbine. No context no real detail as to exactly what the deal was with her. I am still confused on exactly whats going on with this. The basics are out in the open now but it just raises more questions than it answers.
I didnt have school today thanks to her, nobody knew what was going on but yesterday we had to show our ID to leave and for freshman to get picked up, except it wasnt really strongly enforced, and then at 1am we all get an alert saying no school.
So thanks weirdo lady.
What a bizarre situation.
They likely kept details hidden because its a criminal case at that point. And now that she's dead, its unlikely we'll get a follow up out of respects to the family.
Also, in the initial article in the OP, they mention that she went to Columbine and made threats there, which police then found to be credible (likely after trying to purchase guns). That may be it, or she may have made a threat on 4chan as well, who knows.
I'd hazard a guess that the whole situations turned tits-up.
So yeah, nearly every school on the Front Range, from Fort Collins (a few miles south of Wyoming) to Pueblo (farthest south major city in the state) was closed today. One of the police spokesmen said that she was found fully dressed, and dead of a self inflicted gunshot wound.
