House chairman ready to subpoena Mueller report as early as Thursday

House Democrats distrustful of Attorney General William Barr are prepared to subpoena Robert Mueller’s full Russia probe report immediately after the Justice Department
releases a redacted version Thursday, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal talks, said Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) is ready to lob subpoenas for the complete
special counsel report and all underlying evidence as soon as Barr drops the scrubbed document.

The Justice Department announced earlier this week that Barr will release the redacted report Thursday morning to both Congress and the public. An exact time has not been
set.

Nadler, who has refrained from issuing subpoenas while waiting to see what Barr will release, said last week he was ready to “very quickly” fire off the powerful document
demands. The judiciary committee voted on party lines earlier this month to approve subpoenas for the Mueller report, leaving the timing up to Nadler.

Also an opportunity to potentially show Barr committed obstruction for the President by redacting things that were damaging but in no way deserving of redaction. Congress is giving the DoJ every inch of rope it needs to hang Trump's latest AG.

After that other story a few hours ago talking about how William Barr 'summarised' something in 1989 to be essentially lies and misrepresenting the report, I think this is 100% necessary.
