I'm excited to give this another go. I remember trying to play this as a kid, and I loved the style of it, but the game was frustratingly difficult for me at the time. Hopefully now that I'm older it's not too bad.

While this is good news, i am greatly concerned by the pick of "playmagic" as developer, don't think they have any experience in the FPS-Field, i would have loved for Ubisoft to remake it internally, there are a lot of factors that go into this to make it really well, so i am kinda skeptical and you should be too unless proven wrong.

There's a thing in video game visual design that aiming for photorealism will age your game dramatically more than a stylized game.
XIII looks good even today thanks to its heavily stylized comic book art direction. If anyone here hasn't played it, you should, it still holds up.
