When ever i run rust and click the windows key to check the time or something and then go back into rust it freezes then this blue circle pops up and then says rust.exe has stopped responding. When ever i click to wait for it respond blue circle just pops back up so i am forced to close the program and run rust again. I can avoid this problem by not clicking the windows key but I'd rather try and fix it because its an annoyance.
This is the minimum for Rust, so what is likely happening is that when you are playing Rust, most of the memory on your system is devoted to the game, not counting things the system absolutely can't let go of (like active drivers). Things that are running in the background get moved into virtual memory on either your SSD or your HDD (depending on where it's set to be). When you tab out of Rust, those other programs need their stuff out of virtual memory, which forces Windows to push Rust into virtual memory in part to make room. When you tab back into Rust, Windows needs to retrieve it from virtual memory but Rust isn't able to load everything back fast enough to gracefully recover.
Make sure you do not have memory-hungry programs like browsers open while playing Rust.
Try this: Right click on rust in your steam library and go to "properties" then go to "set launch options" and add "window-mode borderless"
