Remain UK also makes a lot more sense because when I hear "Change UK" I immediately assume they mean change it by leaving the EU, but change it by keeping things the same. It's confusing.
It's intentionally confusing.
I think they are trying to emulate En Marche, but they forgot that En Marche actually sounds cool whereas Change UK sounds shit
If they take remain as a name, they would have to change it after (if) we do remain. I imagine they are not going for it for future proofing.
all I see is hamburger menus
now I'm hungry
Why is the left so fucking bad at marketing
This seems to be a universal constant for some reason
This isn't the left, this is a firmly centre group with key candidates leaning to the right.
You've got your Blairites who don't see themselves with a future under Corbyn's Labour, and Conservatives who don't see eye to eye with the party's stance on Brexit. It's a hodgepodge only unified by wanting to remain in the EU, aside from that, their policies are seemingly nonexistent.
They're not "the left". It's a combination of politicians from the Conservative Party and Blairites (economically right-wing Labour MPs). At best, they're centrists; at worst, they're just another right-wing opposition. They're remain, which has never been a left-wing movement, just as Brexit has never been just a right-wing movement.
I agree, but remember the overton window is so skewed in the US that these guys are similar to what they might consider the Left, as they're not too dissimilar to US Democrats.
