Eastlake Police Chief Larry Reik said it did not appear there was any foul play involved in Adams's death.
He was only 20 years old, and while people do die of natural causes so early, it's certainly not common. On a related note:
The coroner's office said the cause of death is unknown at this time and that the results of an autopsy, which would be done at the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office, could take four months.
What the heck?! That's terrible news, especially for his family, not being able to know for certain how he died for a third of a year.
He was also an expecting father according to the original article.
Something's not sitting right with me on this; this dude beats up a child molester, hailed as a hero by locals and other supporters, but ends up in a diversion program and then dies. Nothing was said that anything was wrong with him so it was either a surprise heart attack, suicide, or an 'accident'.
Hate to act like a detective, but something like this just isn't normal given the circumstances.
Given that there's no immediate sign of why he died its probably a conservative guess as to how long it would take to investigate all possible causes of death
It's disgusting that he was even charged/arrested, let alone found guilty. The cunt he caught abusing a kid should've been grateful he didn't go far enough to kill/permanently hospitalise him. What a waste.
If only he had known he was going to die anyways, maybe he would've killed him.
Unusual coincidences happen deceptively often, partially because we forget the times nothing unusual happens, which is constantly.
"could take 4 months" is not "will take 4 months"
