• Received a ban on my account

I play Rust once a week, because I'm in college and have my games family shared with my boyfriend. Last night he suddenly got a ban for no reason, resulting in me also getting a ban.. we are thinking the drivers in either his mouse or keyboard which hes had for years triggered it. I need the ban lifted from my account, please help!
That's not how computers work
Dude then I dont know because I know he doesn't have cheating software in his computer, he said he has the Logitech G500s gaming mouse..
woa
I mean, if they were using macro functionality from the built-in mouse software, and if they were using it to autoclick or perfectly compensate for recoil, aka cheat, then yeah that's something EAC detects and bans for. READ THIS concerning EAC bans/VAC bans/Game bans/developer bans/.. If the EAC ban on your boyfriend's account is valid, then so is yours for family-sharing Rust with him. Allowing someone to family-share their copy of Rust to other accounts after they've been banned for cheating was a loophole cheaters abused, so now any account family-sharing Rust with a cheater is infected with a ban on Rust as well. It's unfortunate but it has to happen that way. IF the ban was invalid and your boyfriend contacts EAC and convinces them it's a mistake, and they agree, then they'll overturn both bans automatically. If. Nobody on this forum can do anything about EAC bans, sorry.
