I got a new computer about 5 months ago and I was really excited to play rust. I can run the game just fine but after playing for a while the game freezes and I can't do anything, I have to restart my computer by holding the power button.
Computer Specs:
Intel Core i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
16GB RAM
1TB SSD
Windows 10
Things I've tried:
verify integrity of game files
Reinstalling the game
Updating drivers
lowing graphics settings and resolution
monitoring gpu, memory, and cpu usage in task manager
GPU reaches 75% at the most while in 1440p and with max graphics settings
Memory stays around 75% and CPU stays around 15-25%
