Thought I'd make a thread because this comes out tomorrow and it looks fuckin lit https://i.imgur.com/n48dN3p.png MORDHAU on Steam MORDHAU is a medieval first & third person multiplayer slasher. Cooperative & offline play: Fight waves of enemies alongside your friends in the cooperative Horde mode, or practice your skills offline against AI. Free-form melee and ranged combat: Gain complete control over your character and attacks and develop your unique style. In-depth character customization: Sculpt your face, create your weapon from parts, and pick out individual pieces of armor to create the perfect warrior. Fight anywhere: Experience cavalry charges, fight on ladders, and operate siege engines such as the catapult and ballista. Visceral and gory combat: Feel the impact of every blow, and send limbs flying as you wreak havoc upon your foes. (Blood & gore are optional) Believable fights: A game where fights look believable, MORDHAU strikes a balance between gameplay and realism.
I saw the trailer for this a little while ago and it looks BADASS. I assume it's either developed by the same guys who made Chivalry or at least inspired by it, as it has improved upon all the cool shit that game did a good deal. My dream game would be this combat style combined with Mount & Blade's overworld thing.
Is it FINALLY done? Took them long enough. We'll see how it goes in practice I guess, kind of lost the hype after such a long wait.
Really want to see if they have those fun objectives like chivalry had. Things where you burnd down a village, then use a battering ram to break open a gate and then kill the king, fun medieval stuff like that.
Please yes. That was one of the best things about Chivalry. It wasn't always just a constant meatgrinder, there were objectives that you could contribute to as a shitty player like me who doesn't know how to parry.
ffs just release already I can't wait another day
I believe the only objective-based gamemode will be Frontline - 32v32 gamemode. It's fairly simple, as it's just a tug-of-war, but I imagine they will flesh it out further post-release.
I wanna kill some peasants.
They're claiming active plans for working out the kinks and improving core mechanics after release. They deserve it all~ None will be able to resist our lutes when we enter the battlefield.
So how much is it going to cost? Steam only say it'll unlock in about 11 hours, no price or anything.
It should cost €29,99.
So keen I cant wait to get my hands on it finally.
This and M&B bannerlord around the corner?! What a delightful taste of brutal slaughter I will be savoring for years to come!
Haven't heard of it before but I'll definitely buy it once it unlocks. 30 EUR is pretty cheap even
omg omg 1 hour for release

fucking servers died lol. they werent expecting this many people
Alas. They're already rolling out a hotfix though, so it should be proper playable in not too long. Also a question for you lads: how do I make it so that my weapon's direction is chosen when I press down the LMB only?
This gives me cause to perspire.
God this game is fun, even with the lag going on. Longbow = good shit
Getting a lot of "Server is full...retrying" errors in matchmaking; otherwise, having a load of fun!
Try using the server browser if the simple menu is giving you trouble
Game's a lot of fun so far, but I sure hope they fix some of the more pressing issues fast. I've reached level 3 five times so far, and probably lost ~1k gold because the progression system is fucked up right now.
Bought it, the trailer reminds me so much of the Mount & Blade multiplayer matches.
It's been a long time ago I've had this fun in a game. I never thought I'd laugh so much just by constantly dying.
I am unable to level up or obtain gold. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
How's this game compare to chivalry? Chivalry always felt super clunky to me combat wise
