I search since a while to find how to use disney infinity models and appli the texture...
I find a script to convert all the zip to files, then another to convert ibuf to obj and another one for vbuf (which give me a crap thing that I didn't understand...)
If i import the ibus converted to max, it crashes, but if i try with zbrush i can open it and redo the obj file to put it to max, but I didn't find how i can find the good texture and how to apply it!
It's hard for me because english is not my motherlanguage so I maybe miss some good information :s

.MTB is not the texture file.. it is .TBODY .. you need to rename it to .DDS
Yes I see that tbody are texture, but I think that mtb are the material file (like the mtl file for obj)
I would like to know how find the right texture for where, because it's hard for a mesh like the black pearl
Not sure about the .mtb.. I wasn't sure whether they had the POTC playset/content within the PC Gold Edition archives because you cannot access it in-game (As far as I know!?)..
I found the ship model but identifying the correct texture maps could prove to be difficult since the majority of the games textures are titled randomly inside one big .zip file! .. If you can spawn the ship in-game via Toybox, you can use Ninja Ripper the textures as an easier method.
yeah it can be easier... I tried only one time ninja ripper with disney infinity and I didn't understand why nothing has been ripped :s I'm not a master of this soft...
trial & error is the key! ... The ship I found in the game archives is titled under 'blackpearl' but in game if you look in the DI Set Pieces 4 within ToyBox, it's 'Pirate Ship with Cannons'.. can't seem to unlock it.. Is this the Black Pearl?
yes is it! did you find it with ninja ripper or just with assets?
From assets.. If you can find a way to unlock it & play in ToyBox, then it can be ninja ripped!.. Never played the Toybox much so unsure if it can be spawned or not!?
I find what is wrong... i forgot to select the wrapper...
But now i try to find a complete toybox save but i don't find it... any idea?
You're lucky I'm a nice guy & have too much time on my hands coz I've done a lot of the hard work for you .. I've been working DI for a long time now so i know a few tricks up my sleeve..
In the .rar file I've supplied contains
a .max file [2016] - Contains a rip straight from the archives & a ninja rip which is the 'Pirate Ship with Cannons'
DI3.0 Toybox game save - I found the ship as you can collect it when playing on the first level of ToyBox Takeover
the Black Pearl texture maps!!! - 98% sure all of the ships maps are there.. but practice your NR to see if I'm right!?

Fiou! it works ^^ but... the ship you find isn't the black pearl :s i search it but didn't find it... maybe it can be only playable one time somewhere... but where?
is it me or the menu is complicated? it's the first time I take so much time to do something on a game... erff...
Well that's disappointing after all of that!?.. maybe the POTC playset isn't incorporated into DI3.0 for PC... It is from the very first DI so if you download 1.0, you might get lucky??.. at least you've learnt something! 🙂
the mesh is here, i found it in the asset! i found it too when you play to one thing that i forget the name... you are in a weird place with Merlin and you can go to a pirate world, then sometimes you see the black pearl! i rip it with ninja ripper but i have only a weird texture red and black... pfff...
In assuming you mean the model displays with a red and black texture in 3ds Max yes?.. That's where the applying textures comes in and yes it can be tedious figuring it out.. Lucky you don't have to many maps to worry about as this is a 'walk in the park'compared to some!...
First start off the wooden plank texture that covers most of the ship's hull.. without seeing the real black pearl model that you found, I can't accurately help you..
How big is the entire NR rip with all the .rip & .dds files compressed into a ,zip/.rar file?.. can you upload it and send me the download link?
I see one thing... the black pearl I rip is without any sail ... i will try to search it with disney infinity 1.0 because we can ride it!
i install the first one, but when i use quick bms, it give me only .dat files... what can I do now to have files that I can use?
Can you just extract them like a normal zip file.. Try that.
You've right... I juust thinked that it was the same process... erff...
I can rip it but only if I finish the pirate chapter and I didn't want to wait a lot of time... I use it for my manga because I create a background with a lot of movie/manga references. I use the mesh you find and I apply the texture to it according to my thought... I don't know if it's accurate or not, because for some meshes, many texture could fit, so I try to do my best ^^

No worries.. Can you please compress & upload the ninja ripper files to me?.. you'd be surprised how small the file size will be.. I feel like I deserve a copy after the hard work! ha ha?...
Unbelievable!?.. I help you out when no one else would.. I even gave you meshes & textures (no they weren't the black pearl but i still did!?) & now you're just going to ignore me & not honour my request!.. Well if you aint going to help me, I certainly hope you don't need help in the future!!!
The ninja ripper file is a little broken and unusable... but there is the link of the finished black pearl ^^

There is a quickbms script that extracts the files from the Disney Infinity packages

It exports the vbuf and ibuf files from the game, you can use my viewer to view all the files and convert them to obj if you want.

It was more about locating the correct mesh and an easier method of retrieving the textures for it
