Well the majority of people need to learn to respect the will of the majority!
wait
This whole thing is shit, it's tiring to have to read or hear about it.
In a democracy where people do not educate themselves on the topic in which they're voting, this is to be expected. It's kind of tough, because it would mean you would have to enforce teaching people about the topic to allow them to vote, and then you'd only end up with a minority of the population actually bothering to vote.
I see, the British people don't support Brexit referendums, huh? Well I guess that means no second referendum, sorry folks. You're locked in, now let's open that briefcase!
You won: Shit!
RULE BRITANNIA; BRITANNIA RULES THE WAVES we totally didn't fuck up the referendum BRITANNIA RULES THE WAVES!
RegretsIt
Brexit is honestly the six pints deep bar bet a slightly insecure person does.
Picture two friends having had a nice evening at a pub are now wandering down a road and spy a wall that come up to just about the belly button.
"I bet you can't jump over that wall" says friend A
"Bet I can" says friend B
"I was just joking" Says friend A
"Nah nah nah mate I got this" Says friend B, not wanting to look weak in the eyes of his peers
"No really, you don't have to mate." Says friend A, getting concerned for the welfare of his drinking buddy.
"Trust me man, I can do it." Says friend B, not wanting to actually do it but fearing a loss of respect should he pull out.
"Mate this is silly." Say Friend A getting steadily more panicked
"What you think I can't do it? I'll prove you wrong!" Says friend B, his paranoia building and his own self doubt manifesting as a perception that his friends doubt him.
Failure to jump the wall would result in either colliding kneecaps first with the solid imposing structure or smashing head-first onto the concrete floor on the other side.
And this "Majority" will sit idly by in the european elections and get to watch as the brexit party wins a ton of votes just like UKIP did last time.
So whatever.
