https://www.al.com/news/2019/04/roy-moore-wants-suit-against-sasha-baron-cohen-to-stay-in-dc-not-leftist-new-york.html?utm_source=reddit.com Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore will be in court today arguing that his case against comedian Sasha Baron Cohen should be tried in Washington, D.C. and not “leftist” New York. Moore attorney Larry Klayman said via a release he and Moore will appear in New York to argue a motion filed by Cohen, Showtime and CBS seeking to have a defamation suit transferred to the Southern District of New York. Moore filed the case after he appeared on the Showtime series “Who is America?” and was administered a bogus “pedophile detector test” by Cohen, who was posing as an Israeli agent. Klayman said he will argue since the show was taped in Washington, D.C., it should be tried there as well. "The defendants can try to run to New York City where they obviously believe a leftist jurist will be more inclined to dismiss the case, but they cannot hide from the egregiousness of their cheap and vile acts. I'm confident (the judge) will see through this charade and allow the case to go to a jury of the parties' peers in the place where this case belongs, the District of Columbia,” the attorney said. Moore and his wife, Kayla, filed the $95 million suit against Cohen and the others in September 2018, alleging defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and fraud. Moore said he was duped into appearing on the July 29, 2018 show by Cohen under the guise of accepting an award for his support of Israel.
Isn't D.C. so left that it should really be located right next to California?
Literally everyone there besides the congressional GOP and their staff are Dems
DC has the most concentrated number of Democrats in any state/territory in the US, around 90% vote Democrat since the 60s District Of Columbia Presidential Election Voting History
I seriously thought his attorney's name is Klansman. Even knowing it isn't my eyes keep adjusting it to that.
Yes, to the point where articles have been written about how GOP staffers literally can't get a date

Moore’s attorney Larry Klayman, founder of the conservative watchdogs Freedom Watch and Judicial Watch, alleged in a press release issued ahead of the hearing that the subjects of Moore’s lawsuit would benefits from a “leftist” jury in New York. "The Defendants can try to run to New York City where they obviously believe that a leftist jurist will be more inclined to dismiss the case, but they cannot hide from the egregiousness of their cheap and vile acts,” Klayman said in the statement on Sunday. Both men of justice and the law and one of them was the highest a judge could get in Alabama. When Roberts says there's no trump justices and no obama justices he's flattering himself, his side decided there were some 60 years ago and Moore is the product of that system.
Well, it was originally Washington District of California.

https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/444139-roy-moore-wants-judge-who-ruled-against-him-removed Former judge and Senate candidate Roy Moore is calling for a federal judge who ruled against him in his lawsuit against comedian Sacha Baron Cohen to be removed from the case, saying the judge disrespected him by not referring to him as “Chief Justice.”
The biggest assholes who expect everyone else to bend to their twisted prejudices are always the whiniest sore losers whenever they don't get their way.
Someone aught to tell Moore that respect is earned, not given. And so far, he hasn't earned it.
I'll refer to him as chief assclown, fuck him and the underage horse he rode in on.
As a (former) judge, he should very well know that a judge can refer to anyone as anything they wish (within the limits of the judicial code) while in that judge's court room
