Honestly never knew about any of the N64 / PS1 games. Manhattan Project looks pretty sweet.
Every now and then I wonder how video games would've changed if the original Duke Nukem Forever they showed at E3 2001 ended up getting finished and released before Half Life 2.
It was pretty good, it's not an FPS or anything but it is an awesome game that I will forever consider the final Duke Nukem game (unless the IP makes it out of hell). Puzzles get frustrating as hell though.
Well there's a problem - there's evidence to suggest that the "gameplay" shown at E3 2001 was staged and fake
How many "your mum" jokes does he make in this one?
to my surprise, none
Yeah I was actually surprised, I've come to expect at least 2 by now.
Followed by a SHWACKED!
And then there's also evidence to suggest the game was like 80% done and that most of the stuff in that trailer was fully playable sections.
If I recall, the evidence is of the 2004 build - except reports differ wildly if it's 80% (like a guy at Interceptor says) or if it's 8% (like Pitchford says). Now I'd take the Interceptor guy more at his word then Pitchfords, but that's a big discrepancy nonetheless.
Instead of two people who had nothing to do with the development of the game, you're better off listening to someone who actually worked on it.
