• Foldable wings on custom ragdoll

Hi there! Im new here so bear with me. I've been porting ragdolls for a while now (mostly dinosaurs) and I thought it would be a good idea to port Drogon from Game of Thrones since the show is coming to an end. I got the whole model ready pretty much except for the wings. I cannot for the love of me figure out how to make them foldable. The model has way too many bones so I cannot have a bone assigned to each 'wing arm thing'. So I thought why not try to finger pose them. Renamed everything accordingly but still no luck. The game wont acknowledge that there is a hand to finger pose, yet i can still move it around with the physics gun. Feels like I hit a wall there. I would really like some help. Also if there's any specific screenshot you wanna see please tell me. Thanks a lot.
You could download the xp32 Maximum skeleton...from Nexus...and pull out the skeleton.nif it has all the bones needed for a TON of things like wings and tails plus all the facial bones...you would just have to adapt it to your model...
Thing is the model is already rigged and working in game, but the total amount of bones we can have for active collision is 32 which makes it impossible to assign every wing bone to its part. So when I spawn it, the wings are too stiff and cannot move or fold. https://imgur.com/a/kX3ikdo
Shame you already have the wing ribs modeled in... In what I was suggesting, this medel as well as it's bones produces a believable drago... but the wings are quite a bit different than yours..but perhaps you can reconfigure yours using this as a reference. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/137945/02672e9f-a237-4693-aced-ad1c2f7888e9/Dragon.png and the bones (revolved it for a better view) https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/137945/bb91a75c-a55f-426f-a8cb-5c1f5cda9096/Dragon-Skeleton.png
Oof massive difference on the wings there, might have to remodel them myself. Also any idea why finger posing isn't working for the wings? They're usually 'fingers' for dragons.
This is a skeleton for all 4 legged creatures, so the wings on the dragon is just an extended paw with toes/fingers....so there it is basically a shoulder/elbow with claw bone (thumb)/ wrist and 4 fingers... and it is actually the same as a human only on all fours. if you have followed the naming for bones it should work fine... but maybe they are just off as it looks like you have a shoulder but not parented to an elbow and hard to tell if there is a wrist bone.
