I've never watched the Karate Kid and I thought this was a really, really well done show. Watched season 1 with a friend of mine.
It's cheesy as fuck but it's lovable and really fun to watch. I love how stupid the premise of "two 40-something year old, grown ass men still holding onto their high school grudge" is, because at the end of the day it's really silly but it's a damn good show. I just wish the seasons were longer because I love it that much.

I did watch Karate Kid and thought this was a really well done continuation to the movie.
It continued to be grey area in terms of who's right, and without getting too far into spoilers it still contains the charm of 80s movies while being set in 2010s.
My biggest fear was that they'd make what was two shitty main characters (in terms of morals) be one blatantly righteous and one blatantly bad
oh, it's free now? i saw the ad for this on a video once and actually stuck through the entire thing, it seemed really interesting
