These reports are great. The curtain is being kept open to remind people that Gearbox is NOT a good company, and you shouldn't forget the bullshit they've pulled in the past. Just because they're making another borderlands game doesn't mean they're a changed company.
He was the VP of Gearbox at the time of the old games so I assume he just did it for free, now he works for Rooster Teeth I believe.

Not sure if they moved funding to other projects, but overall the development was really messy.

You'd think that with a series where people are talking all the fucking time, they'd give at least a bit of a shit when it comes to who's doing the talking. We haven't seen much when it comes to returning characters, and 2 of the big ones with Rhys and Claptrap have both been replaced for no apparent reason.
Unfortunately Borderlands 3 is shored up by Epic games and the console generation, its hugely demoralising because being a responsible consumer just isn't working anymore. Hell even doing everything else like giving bad reviews and negative feedback to show everyone just how sick and fucking tired we are with this shit just gets us brushed off as "trolls" and blocked...

I'm pretty sure there's a union thing that made it so that returning actors would have to be paid more than the amount they got paid last time so with how money-grubbing Pitchford is, it's a given to just grab other actors instead.

Speaking as a voice actor, never, EVER work for free, especially if the person or company you're doing work for stands to gain even a dollar of revenue from anything using your work.

Huh, I didn't know Eddings wasn't voicing Claptrap, the audio I've heard of him in BL3 sounds just like him.
Probably the post processing hiding any major differences.
