Good for them, personally I thought it was really boring and shallow so I refunded it.
Bought this today and played for 6 hours straight. Absolutely loving this!
I still can't believe how well they translated the gameplay into 3D. The sales are definitely deserved.
Other than some qol and ui issues that'll be fixed, I think it'll be decent.
well deserved. Those guys work hard and they deserve all the success they get.
When am I getting my Celestial Steed DLC for my Level 85 paladin?
The game is super fun already, but I'm waiting on more stages and items before I hop back in. It's also pretty damn impossible to progress if you're just playing by yourself, so I think that could use some work. My only other hope is that they make it cross-platform, my brother and I loved the shit out of the original game when it came out, but now he has a PS4 and I just have my PC.
I'm really glad the game is selling so well, Hopoo seems like a great studio and I'd love to see them develop bigger stuff in the future, they should be pretty well off after this game fully releases.
I've taken a break after unlocking all the characters to let some updates flow in, but it's completely and utterly addicting. I actually didn't play the first one, but really feel like it now, to get a full idea of how they translated things over. Definitely a well deserved spend, I can't wait for more.
Last week, Risk of Rain 2 added new characters, stages, and bosses. Content updates like this a vital to such games
what
The game is great fun, I usually play solo singleplayer but even then it's fun to just sit for 30 minutes/an hour and see how far I get. Lots of mods have been made to the game too which is great. I haven't tried any mods other than one that allows more than 4 players to play online. There are way more chaotic mods out there such as one that shares all of your items with all other players, making things insane.
Time for it to become Epic Exclusive
Please no Hopoo is one of the last few developers i trust
I honestly am shocked, SHOCKED, that it was not an Epic Exclusive considering Randy is involved, even if just tangentially.
I'm sure he's plotting how to get it off the Steam store to spite all those mean people calling him out for his long history of being Randy Pitchford.
I'm sure a lot of this is due to that 2 for 1 sale they had. I probably wouldn't have bought it this into early access (Although after playing it now I totally would have) if it wasn't for that.
Pretty sure nobody thought it would sell this much, so Epic didn't throw them a tip about it.
Is it unreal engine based? That also probably counts.
Nah, it's on Unity
Gearbox is pretty lenient when it comes to platforms their published games release on. Just because Randy is a mong and defending 2K's shitty business practices doesn't mean that his company shares those practices.
Apples to oranges, there's just a single rotten orange in the basket.
Epic is still in time to trow cash on their face, considering they did steal not too long ago a game that was on steam for a good ammount of time (don't remembe the name though)
Well deserved, a lot of people were worried but they really nailed the transition to 3D.
Yeah they might do it seeing how it did well and its somewhere Randy might be able to reach.
