Well at least he stopped talking about raping children.
Sargon has always been a bit of a prick, but this is the first time I think I've actually wanted to punch him in the face...
https://twitter.com/Sestze2/status/1123004723404034048 lmao.
"I wouldn't even rape you, @jessphillips," the YouTuber and Gamergate leader posted in response to Phillips' tweets about rape and death threats sent to women on the internet. lol what? A+ BuzzFeed journalism
I'm not familiar with Sargon's involvement in gamergate but it's a pretty fair representation of what league he's in politically. Screaming bloody murder about what someone says on twitter while the right wing tries to destroy civilization is about all he's cut out for.
He also may or may not be violating campaign finance laws, which depending on how high up in the party his supporters are, could have ramifications.
Not sure if this supposed to be a different website, but it seems unaffected to me? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107272/4163b170-c5a4-4349-83a9-273e8b1edd0d/image.png
He kind of was for the anti-SJWs in Gamergate. Like it or not anti-SJWs had the numbers to push the narrative they wanted by late 2014, and Sargon was one of the biggest voices reporting it at the time. In the months prior he also kept his Gamergate content mostly separate from his anti-SJW content, so some of his gamergate videos were able to go viral with other demographics as well.
Hang on, I thought he talked about not raping her?
But from what I remember he... Was really active in gamergate. He made a ton of videos didn't he?
I suppose that makes sense in that regard, since Gamergate essentially started with the whole ethical conflict-of-interest problem that involved Zoe Quinn, and ethics in games journalism, before it was hijacked and turned into a shit show
But in new footage that Benjamin posted to YouTube on April 26 — just three days before Batten's interview — he says he might rape Phillips "with enough pressure". "There's been an awful lot of talk about whether I would or wouldn't rape Jess Phillips," Benjamin says to camera. "I've been in a lot of trouble for my hardline stance of not even raping her. "I suppose with enough pressure I might cave. "But let's be honest nobody's got that much beer." He just can't help himself it seems
Can someone tell Benny boy that jokes need to have a punchline? Also, that repeatedly joking about raping someone is just about the antithesis of funny, let alone when you're running for public office? And while you're at it, kick his fucking teeth in?
Yup. In terms of both amount of videos and viewership that was when he was at his peak.
Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy edgy humour- But when you have a dude who owns a youtube channel featuring hundreds of videos with a sincerely held anti-feminism, anti-women's rights agenda- making "jokes" about raping the same female member of parliament, twice, it's just disturbing tbh.
Not only this but in conversations with other pro-GG people he has complained about other people not taking up the mantle of leadership and having to do it himself, which has earned him the ire of people who think that trying to centralize the gamergate movement was dumb. This is going to be hard to track down though because Sargon has also admitted that the gamergate topic serves as an excellent platform with which to engage in disinformation campaigns against the left. So while it's going to be hard to find video footage of Sargon triumphantly crowning himself King of Gamergate(tm), describing himself as a leader in the movement isn't inaccurate, and is actually much more accurate than the claims made by some that people like Milo or InternetAristocrat/MisterMetokur were leadership figures. If you didn't watch his videos and don't really know about his involvement why did you feel so qualified to call Buzzfeed's reporting into question? Do you think in the future you will say to yourself "Hmm wait a moment, maybe I don't know as much about this topic as I think" before making a post like that?

"Gloucestershire to be abandoned with sole resident Carl Benjamin walled inside"
The arse end of the internet is leaking it's putrid effluence into reality and Gloucestershire is ground zero, might as well burn it to the ground.
Gloucestershire Agrees To Sink Entire Self With Depth Charges - "I'm So Sorry" Yells Exploding Cleaner.
Ironic shitposting is still shitposting, and it's becoming increasingly clear that allegedly ironic Nazism is still Nazism.
It's complicated because he isolated his early gamergate videos in order to appeal to a bigger audience (a tactic I suspect was inspired by MisterMetokur) but as he grew more prominent within gamergate his actual gamergate content became more and more integrated with his other content.
Welcome to actual politics, you edgelord internet twit. May its boot remain forever wedged up your ass.
Carl Benjamin is one of those people who after a while you start to realize that the character that he puts on isn't really a character at all, and he's exactly the insufferably awful person he's painted as.
So would this be elegable for "This week in Stupid"? Still can't believe I used to watch this guy. Doesn't he have a kid himself? Imagine having this muppet as your dad.
Unless TWIS changed in recent years then there's no such thing as bad publicity in those videos. When he gets in trouble it's always the fault of the person that wrote the article he's reading, along with their SJW overlords. So I don't see why he wouldn't mention it.
Unfortunately I thought he was pretty reasonable at first, but I bailed on his channel once he started punctuating his GG-related videos with shit like "therefore feminism is destroying the world". Unfortunately a lot of people didn't.
The Maddox Principle, as I like to call it.
I love edgy and dark humor, but the thing about Carl is that he doesn't understand the nuances of a joke, let alone an edgy joke. Joking about terrible shit is acceptable when you at least have the structure of a good joke down and its funny, but he's not even close. He's a man with no actual sense of humor trying to be as funny as possible and it's sorely obvious. A lot of these jokes stem from him trying to create more controversy to bitch about. His entire career was based on bitching about SJW's and outrage culture, now skeptics are the new SJW's, and get outraged over nothing. SJW's are the new edgelords. It's a very funny situation, because they're desperate as fuck to get back what they once had and it shows.
