As Eurovision delegations arrive, Islamic Jihad vows to 'prevent..
As delegations began arriving Saturday for the Eurovision Song Contest slated to begin in ten days, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group in Gaza vowed to disrupt the event expected to attract thousands of tourists to Israel.
“We will prevent the enemy from succeeding in establishing any festival aimed at harming the Palestinian narrative,” PIJ said in a statement released as the Israel Air Force began pounding dozens of terror targets throughout the Strip in response to the 150 rockets fired at Gaza border towns on Saturday.
“The resistance is obligated to respond to the enemy’s aggression and to surprise it,” the PIJ statement concluded.
An official from the the joint operations room of Gaza factions, which coordinates the weekly border protests in the coastal enclave, warned Saturday afternoon that the next few hours would be “painful.”
250 rockets fired at Israel; IDF bombs 120 Gaza sites, including..
Palestinian terror groups shot hundreds of rockets at Israel, and the Israel Defense Forces hit back and bombed more than 100 targets in the Gaza Strip, in an intense round of fighting that engulfed the region this weekend.
As of Saturday night, the fighting between the terror groups in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip and Israel showed no signs of slowing, with multiple volleys of rockets being fired from Gaza at the southern city Beersheba around midnight.
Over 250 hundred rockets were fired at Israel throughout the day, most of them at the towns closest to the Gaza border, but some reached as far as Rehovot and Ashdod. At least three Israeli civilians were wounded in the attacks, one of them an 80-year-old woman who was badly hurt.
In response, Israel hit at least 120 targets in Gaza on Saturday, including a cross-border attack tunnel, an underground rocket factory and a six-story building used by Hamas’s military intelligence, the army said. At least two Palestinians were reported killed, both of whom were said to have been part of rocket launching teams.
The military was only able to hit a small number of these cells as terror groups in the Strip typically use timers and other controls to launch projectiles from afar in order to avoid Israeli airstrikes.
The fresh exchange — one of the larger battles of the past year — began on Friday evening when Palestinians in the Strip shot two soldiers on patrol near the border in southern Gaza. A male soldier was moderately wounded, and a female soldier was lightly hurt, the IDF said. In response, the Israeli military bombed a Hamas post, killing two of the terror group’s operatives.
Shortly after 9:30 on Saturday morning, terror groups in the Strip began launching rockets and mortar shells at Israel.
In response, the military launched a series of strikes from air and land, hitting targets throughout the coastal enclave connected to Hamas, the islamist group that rules Gaza, and the Iran-backed Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.
I agree that Eurovision should be stopped, but not with violence.
why are we so crap at creating a decent eurovision song.
Why would Brazil even be in Eurovision to begin with?
Probably mistook it for something Football/Soccer related.
Australia's in it too.
they have plenty of violence if you count the actions of the vocalists against my ears
If only we had someway to mess with their laser guidance systems

oh crap i thought it would say UK, my bad.
i just landed in brazil so im a bit delirious.
In light of Brexit I can also question why the UK wants to stay in Eurovision.
If Israel used this in combination with some high power lasers the aliens would probably drop by to tell us to fucking quit it already.
Because we love reminding ourselves how utter shit we are.
And from that day onward, the entire galaxy knew us as the "party" species
